Sorry to hear about the incident ferizzo. That shit's straight tragic.

-I do however... love your buying a gun and hiding in the bushes plan. If you're lucky... you might catch the same people again.

Freddy, I feel for you man! God, I cant believe that happened man. Not to repeat what others have said, but it really upsets and angers me to see that kind of vandalism. On the bright side though, there is a valuable lesson to be learned..... which is to never let your gaurd down. Where ever you go, there are people out there looking to take advantage of you or your property. Plus, you might get a new paint job out of it. I dont know... just trying to make you feel a little better. Did this happen right after our meet?

sorry guy,

i had two similar experiences... well actually they both occured at my apartment complex...

first attemp was to take my 17s off of my 2000 civic ex coupe... they didnt get em... but they broke the driver side window and scratched the shyt out of the rims trying to get them off without jacking up the car... DUH....

and then they tried again a second time by busting the window again and popping the trunk to get at the jack... stupid fucks out there.... alarm was beeping like a mofo both times... thankgod...

thought of a perimeter alarm???

movies are too damn expensive anyway...

stay in with the woman order some carryout and chill at the crib.... keep the whips in the garage...

people are just ghetto nowadays...

How hard is it to get them out? I know the 02/03 Maxima's have had a ton of HID thefts. A badass alarm with shock sensors is souding pretty good to me right now.

A crowbar and less than 5 minutes. Ours are harder than the Maximas. Thats why we had less problems when the Maxima came out with HIDs.

Yeah, I don't think its that hard, after all they just want the bulb and ballasts. I am goint ot look into a new alarm system. I might even just sell the car in the spring depending on a few things. I got so many things going on I didn't need to think about this. We'll see...I even found a CF hood painted blue that I might look into but again what's the point if I sell the car. Fucking A!

Thanks Steve. Its true there are haters everywhere and we can't let our guard down. I hope this never happens to any of you guys because its a pain. It actually happened the next day (Sunday) right across the street.

gingerbread, that was a poor attempt at humor but it figures if you really are 17.

Reason #1 why I roll to the movies in my minivan instead of my 02 Maxima: HID theft!!

If I cant park it where I can watch it, then I dont bring it at all. That said, looks like I'd have to decline any movie double dates with you Ferizzo.

unless you bring the minivan and then we are gravy!

On a side note, took it to the dealership today and the rough estimate is $4500 bucks!! This is just the two side panels, hood, front bumper, labor, and checking for electrical problems!

Oh and the delaer told my wife, since she actually took the car in, that this month they have already had 6 cars come in without their HIDs! I guess the ring of thieves is moving up north because it used to be a serious problem (probably still is) in NYC/NJ. Kinda makes me want to smash every single civic with HIDs...although I know they did all get their illegally!

why would a fucking loser wanna steal a TL's HIDs? it'll only fit that exact car, right? there can't be a big market for that.

Guy at work got his stolen off his TL twice. Granted I work in Newark, NJ. It's freaking messed up.
Hope you get everything squared away. And one of you other posts said you needed a paint job, so now you have an excuse. That what I said when I got rear-ended.
Still....sorry to hear about the ride.

That why I refuse to take my car to that hell-hole. My wheels and lights will be gone before I can lock the car.

Ferizzo,

I'm sorry to hear about the headlights...I'm ready when you are
It's such a shame that you need to worry about where you drive your car. Its not like we are talking about parking in some dark alley or something..we are talking about regular everyday things like going to the movies...People really suck sometime

We live in a world full of people with no respect...I am sorry to hear and SEE...what happened, I'm just glad you and your wife were not hurt...I had a friend get knifed at an intersection in florida so the crooks could steal his convertible corvette....but worse still...it was a stick...they couldn't drive it, so they just ran off...he went to the ICU with a punctured lung....I'll be praying that you get your car back better than new...and they get exactly what they deserve...

Looks like I won't be going to the movies EVER!

Believe I want to hurt someone now. I've though about buying a gun, taking my car to the movies, hiding in the bushes and waiting for someone to try again!

Sounds like a good idea to me...or at least a bat
