Headlights stolen
I'll post pics tomorrow but my bad luck with cars continues! Some might remember that my wife's wheels were stolen at a movie theater...well my headlights were stolen tonight at a different theater! I guess I won't be going to the movies anymore!

I am so fucking pissed right now I could kill someone! The cop dusted it for prints but it looks like all they have are smudges (good palm print but the cop said it is unlikely to help).

So i guess insurance will be covering the paint job you were asking about earlier. The entire front end of your car will be repainted. You might wanna make a deal with the shop and have them do the whole car if you pay a lil. Might cost you like $500 more to do the whole car.

Wheels were stolen in Natick (AMC theater)
HIDs were stolen in Braintree (AMC theater)
Looks like I won't be going to the movies EVER!
Believe I want to hurt someone now. I've though about buying a gun, taking my car to the movies, hiding in the bushes and waiting for someone to try again!

damn dude, that fucking sucks. headlight thefts are common here as well.
here's a few things i do to help not get them stolen:
park in a well lit area.
park where there's some traffic.
park backwards... leave the headlights exposed to the public (works best in areas with some traffic)
add a shock sensor to the headlights, they will blink if the alarm goes off and light up the whole area.

Do you have an alarm or shock sensor?

Sorry to hear that. I thought this was an old post b/c I remember you posting a while ago about something being stolen on your car. Then I read the thread and realized it was your wife's wheels. I don't know what I would do if someone broke into or stole something on my car. I have never even let someone drive my car or even sit in the driver seat. I would probably do this I can't say I feel your pain but I feel bad for you.

Although it sounds like an excellent justification to the wife for spending a couple of grand on a nice Home Theater system.

Shawn, true.
Chap, at first the cop suggested I get it towed but I told him I live close enough and can use my fogs (at least they are a little brighter than the CLS fogs - not a dig, just that it was helpful). I ended up following the cop to the station because I wanted them to see if they could get the fingerprints off the car (not that I have any hope it will help).

Since this is so common, what do the theives do with the head lights? Sell them, swap them into civics? I just don't get how it's worth the risk and the trouble for headlights.
