Headlight tint, blue, black or no?!

I saw Blue headlight tint on a BMW 850 today while driving on the Major Deegan, actually the tint was on the lights under the headlights since those are flip ups. Looked really nice tho, and the car was black.
I was thinking of something like that on my car, but don't want to over do it. It will also hide some of the scratches and such on otherwise worn out headlights. what do you guys think, here's a PS, I also tinted the fogs:

blacked out headlights

blued out

regular

Both look nice to me. Blue is nicer though. Makes it stand out more. I wonder if blue tint would affect the light output though, even if they are HID.

BLUE might look nice on a ABP but clear looks cleanest, I wish I could clear my fogs....but those orange plasctic turn signals REALLY gotta go.

i say no headlight tint. it does look tacky. black makes it look tooo tinted and blue just looks ricey imo. plus on a silver car...neither go well.

If you do it at all, I would go with the blue.

I actually think the black looks best on your car, darker headlights match your window tints more and gives a cleaner look that flows. The blue stands out a little too much and is kinda ricey IMO. Now if your rims were that hyperdark(not gunmetal) color, it would be pretty pimp.

I just hate the stock headlights on this car, they are too big IMO, so any attempt to alter them makes it more appealing to me.

i like how everyone has different opinions.

i think the blue will stand out too much on your CL (might even be a bit ricey in person)
but the black isnt bad on your car bc of the tinted tails and windows

but all-in-all i like them the way they are now

Big is right. I love the rear of the car, the curve of the trunk is nice and the dual oval exhaust adds a bit of elegance. The front however, is more bland than white rice. It has no appeal whatsoever and is just "there". The hood is boring, the front bumper has no definition and the lights are a big blob with no detail. Now if there was a projector lens in there to serve as a focal point and the whole casing was a little thinner thinner, I would love the car a little bit more. Don't mean to flame, but the front end of the CL looks a lot like the older Ford Thunderbird, which is not necessarily a good thing. If you don't believe me, look here.

As always...

Agree. Any mod that directly reduces any safety feature of your car (and I consider being able to see at night "safety") is a bad idea. May as well pull the airbags out of your steering wheel and install a LCD screen while you're at it.

I would rather not see tinted headlights, but if you are going to go ahead with it then blue would be the choice.

I have seen some lightly tinted headlights before and they don't seem to obscure or diminish the light output significantly at all, especially when there is an HID bulb behind the tint.
Lol people always flash their high-beams at me thinking mine are on, I would be doing them a favor by tinting my lights.

^^ same problem here. Never got to see the embaressment on their faces when I flash them back! I'm still rooting for the blue tints. Not too ricey at all. The color changing headlight tints are ricey imo, but this is nowhere near that level.

Well, tires, wheels, Kit, installation, and Acura Markup, lol, that last one is a doozy. Which dealer? Orange Park? can you snap some quick pics, I'd love to see it.

BTW, I'm not tinting ant all. I'm actually thinking of getting into a TL 6mt, with Navi, in redondo red, then kitting it and dropping it on 20" Legend-2pF's when they are done.

it wasnt a tsx in the orange park showroom...it was a black tl. and yes, it had your body kit and 19" chrome inspyres. it looked sexxyyyy. i believe the total price of the vehicle was 48k. somewhere in that ballpark. next time i go in there i'll take a couple quick pix for ya.

I think the 'regular' looks good (for CLS lights anyway), mainly cause it's not stock anyway, the ambers are gone and it looks like some of the silver is blacked out. Otherwise the black tint looks good to me hides more of that chromo look.
(I've always hated the CL headlight design) too big and bulbous.

The new TL lights are a big step in the right direction, more like the 2G Legend Coupe. I saw a blacked out TL on the TL forum that looked very nice.
Get a TL and have more to start with! If it only came in 2 doors!

Nice I love the Redondo Red , when that sucker is all clean with wheels and kit it looks tight.
