Headlight Questions...

One of my bulbs is dead... I'm trying to buy new ones and I see HID ones that are really expensive. Is that the only type of bulbs the CL takes?

CL has an HID lighting system.

We have vendors in the "group buy" section of the site that can help point you in the right direction for quality replacement bulbs.

Good luck.

I purchased a pair of Kaixen 8500K HID bulbs from the vendor excelerate here on the forum. The were $109.00 shipped to my door and are very high quality. If you have any other questions just ask.

well it all depends on what year model your Acura CL is. If it is between '01-'03 then yes, your CL can only use D2R/D2S bulbs for its lowbeams. Unless you wanna be a real cheap ass you can always splice halogen bulbs onto it.

there are several companies that produce HID bulbs these days and prices range widely from $45 a pair, to $399.99 a pair or even the real retarded ones that go for $179 for a SINGLE bulb

you can check out:
http://store.theretrofitsource.com/i...7268fec4e45680
and
http://www.omnixautosports.com/d2r-h...s-set-s/67.htm

for quality bulbs and better prices than most.

I used these guys when i cleared out my headlights. I figured i'd get some warmer bulbs while I had them all apart. I have had the bulbs in since summer and I have had zero problems. I have recommended the sight to a couple other members so enjoy the $$$ you'll save buddy.

Yeah def buy them in pairs. The site I gave you sells in pairs so you'll be fine. Good luck, and let me know what you end up going with. I got the 6K and I love 'em. Perfect blue tint with no loss in light output (minimal)
