HEADLIGHT OUT Pleasee help...

Hey guys my headlight blew and I guess I have to get a new one. I thought they were suppose to last forever. Anyway the dealership wants wayyy to much as I expected. WHERE CAN I GET THE STOCK LIGHT BULB FOR MY CAR FOR THE BEST PRICE??? I know some people had this happen to them.

Thanks

Did your bulb blow out, or did your ballast go? If it is your bulb, usually, it will just go out with out warning. If it was your ballast, you would see your headlight flickering at first, and then the bulb would die. Or atleast that is what happened to me and a few freinds of mine! LOL

You can search ebay for D2R replacement bulbs, or OEMAcuraparts.com. Mine recently went out too, but it looks like my inverter might be bad cause when I replaced the bulb, it burnt out right away. $130 down the drain.

If it is the ballast/inverter it should be covered under warranty, if your car is still covered (extended warranty). I'm getting it checked out tomorrow. Which headlight is the one that went out?

Hey, man... Just an FYI that might help... My ballast and bulb went out right after my warranty was up (1 month and 2K miles past it) and I was able to get Acura to Goodwill the repair. You might try if you're close to the end of teh warranty.

Oh, is your high beam on very dim when you turn on the lights?

It means your headlight is out. Happened to me, bulb and ballast. Anybody ever notice the VSA light dimmed lightly? What does that mean?

Put the bulb in the other side and see if it works.

Ok, I took it in, and it was a bad inverter that caused my light to go out. If the car hadn't been covered under warranty, the part would have cost something like $450-ish, and total with labor it would have been ~$700. Fortunately, my car is still covered, and they'll have it ready by tomorrow.

On a side note, I have to say the service at my dealership has been top notch so far. I feel like I've always been treated fairly, and no hesitation to give me a loaner car, even though I'm 24.
