the engine vibrates and move quite violently udner stress. this crack could be a start of a larger problem. you sohuld repair it soon as it'll probably only get worse and eventually leak air by which time you'll start getting loud noises from your engine bay. it shoudln't be a difficult repair.

I see it. (took me awhile though)

I think all welds can be repaired.

I would get it fixed ASAP.

It can definitely be repaired it’s right on the weld so it so come out fine, and yes it will make you loose on performance and the more you push the car the bigger that’s going to open up, go to a muffler shop where a pro with remove them and weld it right, all around

look right under the bolt on the left. there's a line going around the weld of the header tube. compare it with the one on the right.

if you can't see that you must be blind. it may be possible to re-weld it, but most likely it will crack again.

You think thats bad, my OBXs have black sut all over the crack. And I def feel a power loss, can they re weld them while installed? or do they have to take them out to do so? So here's my to do list:

-Re-Weld the cracked OBX headers
-New Spark Plugs
-Upgrade to synthetic Oil, mobil 1
-change belts and hoses
-flush and refill all fluids
-steam clean the engine bay
-Have coilovers uninstalled and reinstalled hoping any noises will go away.

anything else you guys would suggest?

Yea Ron, they have to take them off so that they can weld right, all around the weld, besides, you don't want a half ass job or anyone sticking a torch by your engine. I have half of your list, don't know if you have them yet but since your changing your belts do your pulleys while you at it, it's what I'm gonna do

You get what you pay for. Unfortunately, with OBX, that’s not much.

Well with uninstall, weld, and install. Maybe $200-$300.

Checked my headers today and i have the same exact problem: a crack on the front middle pipe where it is welded to the flange. The same issue can be with the rear header, but cant see it.

Find a mom and pop shop that will do a good job and wont charge that much, if they charging you almost 300, might as well just get new ones and weld those for a few bucks and sell them like that to make a few bucks at least to cover the installation of your new ones.

i would hear a weird noise under acceleration, and i found that my obx headers cracked in the same spot, i tried jb weld but it couldnt withstand the heat, it was a temporary fix for a few days.. i saw this other "liquid metal" product that says it withstands 2000 degree temps, you think this will fix the leak?

Why does every thread that starts with "well i had my obx headers on for about 6 months now" end in bad news?

After like a year and a half, mine cracked. No leak yet, but it's all around the pipe. Oh, well. It was just a matter of time, anyway.
