Have I Installed Comptech Exhaust Correctly?

Installed my Comptech Exhaust yesterday, and I love how it looks. However, I'm wondering if it's sealed properly where it meets the factory pipes. The oval pieces on each side (flanges?) don't seam up completely perfectly. They seam together well at the bolts, but in the middle, there is a very slight gap. I can't feel any air coming out of the seam or noise from that area, but the stainless steel has already darkened/discolored from the heat in this area. There's no black soot, but then again, it's only been on a day. Maybe I should replace the gasket on the factory side pipe. Anyone done this? Also, I noticed the sound is definitely more aggressive, but man, do they sound really bassy between 1 and 2K RPM's. Almost deeper than my subwoofer on my stereo! It's kind of droning at this engine speed. Is this normal? I guess I'll get used to it over time. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

You can expect heat discoloration, which will be most pronounced where there is an irregularity in the flow, that is caused by the swirl of the hot exhaust.

So which has a deeper sound, CompTech or HKS?

I like the way HKS looks a little better, and I've only been around Comptech exhaust once in real life and I couldn't even hear it, and never around HKS.

(ps, WAV files aren't worth sh*t because they never are clear enough to hear and you lose a lot of the lowend sound.)

we did a comparrison in terms of loudness at the last chicago meet. Comptech Exhaust vs HKS Exhaust. Suprisingly the comptech was louder then the HKS. And in case you're wondering, both cars had the same mods too (headers, intake, and exhaust). The only difference was the type of exhaust.

I like my comptech ALOT! it's one of my favorite and most appreciated modification. It makes drive out of the red range enjoyable. Highly recommend it. How does the subwoofer work? How much for the parts and install? I liked the pictures.
