Raped by a jetta...
Although it is really pathetic to get smoked by a jetta, i have and excuse. The jetta even kept up with a Supra Twin Turbo for a few seconds!!! Must have been turboed.
Anyway, last night me and my cl type s and my friend's limited edition supra tt were screwing around at a stoplight and he started to revv. i tried as hard as i could but he smoked me, and then a jetta that saw us racing caught up and passed me!!! he caught up to my friend who was slowing down, but he still got burned by the supra tt.
the thing i dont get is how the hell can a supra get so damn fast???

As you can see from my post yesterday,I thought the same thing too. My friend has a 1.8T with a new ECU Stage II, as well as an intake and exhaust. He bragged he was taking WRX's, yet I still won. Not by a huge amount, but I have yet to see a Jetta that can take a CL-S. THe problem is that they are just WAY too slow until the boost starts, which means they usually have too much ground to make up. By 20mph, he was probably 3 car lenghts back. He made it up somewhat, but not enough to pass me

I dont know but I raced one at the track. It wasnt fast at all. 16.5 or something be. I beat it by around 3-5 cars. I had 15.4 + bad R/T.

He's only on stocks and you think he's fast. WOW take a ride in it if he ever upgrades or goes single.

oh crap !!! my bad i meant to type how the hell can a jetta get that fast, i know that the supra rapes...
hes got about 360 out of the supra with only intakes, filters and an exhaust setup..if only he would add headers and all that cool stuff...

you know the 2002 with 180hp is ALOT more powerful than the 150hps? and thats stock.... he must be really dumb ass to run 16.5! cuz in houston race, 4 1.8T with upgraded ECU and minor stuff ran mid 14 in a hot summer night! and MANY of them have upgrade turbo with mid 13s.... They are not easy to pull away from 13s, but within 13-14s range is kinda easy for them!</STRONG>
