It wouldn't surprise me to see the comback of the CL, or at least another sports luxury coupe to replace it.

Acura can't just leave out that market segment, it's just not smart for them to do so. Bimmer 3-series coupes will reign supreme, along with the good ol' G35/350Z.

I just can't see Acura offering a sport compact car (RSX), a true sports car (NSX), two SUV's (MDX & RDX), as well as 3 sedans (lower (TSX), middle (TL) and upper (RL) class) without offering a sports luxury coupe. Something must be around the corner!

 

I heard that rumor too.

 

Something about calling it CSX? Hmmm......who cares about the name, I'm already drooling!!!

CSX is probably the replacement for the canadian EL (or a TSX based coupe).

 

If so I hope it is made in Japan and not the U.S.

 

And CLX was the name of the CL concept back in the 90's...

A few sales people I was chatting with mentioned a new CL (2 door coup) convertible possibly in the mix for 07

 

If it does come out. It's going to be placed above the current 2nd Gen CL right? (Based off of the RL platform). Cause someone had a photshop of a current TL based coupe. And it looked ridiculously awesome.

 

All speculation as far as details. It is thought to be going upscale (in price from the CLS), maybe partly due to wanting to fill in between the CLS and the NSX which does not sell much at $80k+.

Actually I've seen quite a few EL's here in Alaska, but that's common. We also get the A-Spec TSX, it was at my local Acura/Honda dealership. Quite the ride.
