rumors are it's an EL replacement (luxury civic) with more emphasis on sport this time, so the _sx name. probably exclusive to Canada again. what is it for sure? who the hell knows. i highly doubt it's a CL replacement.

SX means more sportier, which is a good news.

So I think 200hp is a GO this time.

It's pretty much been confirmed that the CSX is indeed the new Acura EL for Canada.

Some guy who works for one of the outsourcing parties has seen the badges already. I can't find the post, TOV's got one of the shittiest forum arrangements I've ever seen.

The only reason it will be sportier is because the new civic is going to be sportier, but I doubt it will have 199hp/+. If that were the case, the Us would have been in the trademark.

Since both the Canadian Civic and EL are built in the same plant in Cambridge Ontario. I think 200hp is pretty much a done deal.(No point for giving EL another engine to increase costs, right?)

I believe TSX is going to get a power upgrade soon. Since both Civic and EL...I mean CSX are going to have as much HP as the current TSX has.

I disagree because imo only the US civic si will have 200hp+, its pretty much a lose money deal because the car will most likely out perform an rsxS yet it will be quite refined for less money( the current SI was discontinued in Canada), I 'd love an rsxS with the Si's seats right now for 2k less though.

Civics having as much power as TSX is doubtful. Tsx is a 27k us msrp car, civic can barely manage 19k with the SI hatchback which is a failure.

wait.. if the csx comes true.. what about the rsx? isnt the tsx basicly an rsx sedan?

and again, if the tsx coupe is true, why would they give it the same engine and power?? it doesnt make sense, the rsx has 210hp and another acura coupe with near identical power?

unless the rsx isnt sold in canada...

200+hp USA only?

I think Honda Canada aren't that stupid.

One of the main reason why Civic Si-R(Si hatchback in US)can't sell because of the highpower rivals like Sentra SE-R Spec-V, Corolla XRS and Mazda 3 Sport. And they are all cheaper than the base EL(no leather seat) too.

They have to bring in the K20A to just compete with these guys.

There is no TSX coupe.

Toyota already axed the Celica and MR-2 lines. I think Honda will follow, RSX is done.

One more thing, even the Suzuki Aerio has a standard 155hp engine, which is 5k CAD cheaper than the base EL.

200hp CSX is coming guys.

Reported by Car & Driver HK a month ago that Honda is considering a Legend Coupe. Which may turns out to be a new CL.

I realized why CSX doesn't sound good. There was a Dodge Shelby CSX back in the day. It was a little high-performance sport coupe based on the Shadow. Yeah you don't want anything with Acura badges on it having anything to remind you of a Dodge.

ahh yes.......

So much for name continuity. The only reason I can see them doing this is if the new EL/CSX is a large departure from the old model.

So what do we know about the Acura CSX?

aka the replacement for the Acura 1.7EL, the Canadian Civic. It should be here in 2 months right? I hope it will get a 2L.
