Hahaha...oops. My purpose of that post was to let QuiQ cLs know that black ITR's do exist. That I knew...just needed correction on the white/yellow US ITR...happens with old age - big-time memory loss

I have done 135 MPH on at least three occasions on some back roads with no traffic. I had no stability problems. I would never do this with someone else in the car. Every now and then I revert back to my "Bullet Proof" days. (youth)

I've been 160 mph "indicated" on my Ninja and was shaking like a leaf when I came to a stop afterwards. That was wild! I have only hit 130 mph in the CL-S and will likely never exceed that.

Anybody feel free to correct me, but
US ITR = Black or White
CDN ITR = Yellow or White

[/B][/QUOTE]

The ITR was first introduced in 1997 with championship white. In 1998 the same was applied (only avail. in white). Never hit the states in 1999 (only in Canada). Then in 2000, they came out with two new colors, black and phoenix yellow. Just wanted to clarify

that pic must be photoshopped...I don't see how a 4sp auto with less HP than my CL-S can pull the same speed at 1000 fewer RPM's....something DOES NOT make sense here...

Yeah, but his redline is a lot lower than ours. Plus he said that he was going down hill, which means if you take your foot of the gas, the RPM's do drop. I didn't even think Accords could go that fast! But I guess anything could going downhill

That's what I was thinking. Isn't the Accord limited to the 130s or something? Sorry, but no stock car with V rated tires is going over 150mph.

Somebody get me a BS flag, QUICK

My friend in high school had a 1990 Accord EX (4-cyl) and his car could hit 140MPH. Downhill we have passed 150MPH, so it's definitely possible. But who knows how accurate the speedos are. Either way, I was surprised as well, damn tall gearing.

Astro, the pic is not photoshopped. And I didn't let go of the gas pedal when I took the pic. You know why I pull lower RPM running at the same speed as you? It's because my 4th is taller than your 4th. Make sense now? The car is at 2500 RPM while cruising at 75 mph (120 kph).

GoldTypeS, the Accord doesn't have a speed governor. It's drag limited to about 130-140 indicated on a flat road.

Believe it or not, back in the day I hit 136 in my 89 Corolla GT-S coming home to Newport from San Diego on the 5 in CA. I was only @ like 6300 RPM and the car tached out @ 7500! Just goes to show that top speed doesn't mean a whole lot unless you are on a salt flat trying to set a record. I keep it cool in the CL, maybe cause I just got popped doing 97mph coming home from Carmel in my wifes bimmer, CHP let me go (sales, sales..) LOL for the CHP!!

Hey colbster, I'm the one who bought your CL-S rims. I like them a lot! The car behaves differently and corners better now. I just added one more scratch on the rims, so I'm not gonna fix them. Just gonna live with them.

Everything's been great with the set. I'm thinking to get springs soon, but haven't really decided between Eibach or H&R.

Did you get the cross-drilled rotors for your CL-S?

Take care...

No problem, Astro. I've had an argument with a "domestic lover" guy at work until I offered to triple his money if he's riding shotgun with me while doing 150.

I have a 99TL and I took it up to 145 mph. It was still pulling strong but I had to slow down because the road was running out.
