Has anyone heard of the myth of the friday car???
I know a guy that used to work a car plant in Michigan, and he told me that the workers slack off on fridays (like most of us). If this is so, I wonder if the transmission problems is due to the myth of the friday car.
I thought our tranny came from Japan, unless they have the slack off on fridays too.
Personnally, I think they slack off every day, I have many friends work at plants, friday is no different

Yes, its true. Fridays and mondays are bad particularly at union plants. THe theory is many people are either hungover from the weekend or hungover from the anticipation of the weekend. I worked at Ford and other manufacturing facitlities and its bad but I dont think it is the cause of your tranny problems.

The friday car issue, is not as bad as it once was. Speaking from a background of 8 years in manufacturing, and 9 in engineering. A little better than a couple of weeks, or maybe a summer in the plant for an "internship".
From what I understand about the "tranny problem" it's an engineering issue. That's not union labor filling the beer taverns on a Friday afternoon near any one of the domestic HQ's.
