Has anyone ever used CarsDirect.com?

I am going to be buying a 2001 Civic to replace my funky 97 Neon. I was thinking of using Casdirect.com, but I was wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences with them. Any info you have would be appreciated.

BTW, they quote some pretty damn good prices, (Civic EX Sicker 18,150, the quote I got today for the Civic EX was invoice, $16447!) what do you think?

i haven't used carsdirect.com directly, but what i have done is printed out their quote on the car i wanted, brought that down to the dealership, and asked them to beat it. works pretty well and u cut down the BS a lot. they hate internet prices, and even if they have their own internet divisionm, they only get paid a flat rate for every car moved thru there. try it...

I went and used Carsdirect.com to by my CLS, but I was not happy with the dealer they they were using, and they gave me some insane interest rate (something like 15%) I was able to go through my credit union for a 5.99 APR. The people were helpful, but you might not get what you want in the car. Such as extras that you can talk the dealer into giving you when buying the car from there. Hope it helps

I know several people who bought cars through there and they loved it. The only thing is, you're stuck with the dealer they choose. What a lot of people do is print up the pricing from CarsDirect, then go to the dealer of their choice and ask them to match. Almost all dealers will match that price....
