Is it hard to take off the plastic engine covers to have them painted..(is it hard??)

Is it hard to take off the plastic engine covers to have them painted..(is it hard??)

Is it hard to take off the plastic engine covers to have them painted..(is it hard??). What kind of paint do you need, or should I have it done at a body shop????????

no. the cover is held on with 2 little plastic screws and 4 short lil black bolts.


rough it up and use spray paint.

just make sure you use white primer. Also clean the cover first.

I went to walmart and bought some hi-temp engine spray.

The biggest pain for me was to pop-out the acura name plate.

Do you think I can order a second cover from the dealer and paint it, so thins way, if I don't like it, I don't have to mess with taking of the original. If so, how much do you think that cover costs????

Yes. The bolts are covered by it.
