when i was playing with the autostick on the hwy i noticed if i floor it in 2nd and shift it into 3rd at like 5krpm under full throttle it shifts into 3rd hard. it does it really at all engine speeds above 4500 or so its not like real bad but its like roughand only in that gear.

 

Weird. Mine doesn't want to shift. Like if I'm on it in first, and it shifts to second, and I let off the throttle, I have to upshift it like 5-6 times for it to go into 3rd.

 

yea i think i have the same symptom. the 2nd>3rd shift literally jerks the car forward.. like a hard,fast shift in a manual car... only happens above 4k rpms for me. very annoying.. o yea, it started happening after i got a new tranny bout 8k miles ago....i wonder if its gonna go bad again..

 

If you're doing hard shifts like that, and you're getting a kick after a certain rpm range, then you may want to check your front engine motor mount. It's on the front of the engine (not the front of the car), located right below the ABS controller.

 

i've noticed that too, i think it does that if you do not give it any gas once in second gear, if you do, it will then shift right away up to 3rd.

 

i swear the tranny's being a smart ass my ignoring ur command to upshift to 3rd. every other gear snaps to it.
