Hard to shift out of park...

well iv had this problem for about 2 weeks now... i think it started when my sister spilled smirnoff all over the center counsel. (she put it in the cup holders in the front and when i stoped it tipped over and spilled all over the shifter area.) Shifting became a little sticky but i cleaned it out and its not sticky anymore but its hard to shift out of park. When i press the brake down it unlocks the shifter and i can get it all the way to the right but it does not move down. So it is not a problem with the anti theft or whateever that thing is. I have to sort of play around with it or force it down so it can go into reverse and so on. Im bringing it to the dealer but do you think its going to be covered under warrenty? PS: it feel like there is some kind of locking mechanism holding it back not like its sticky, because the shifter moves left and right easy but not down (only when its in park not from reverse to neutral and drive).

Another problem: I have 18inch rims with low pro tires and one of the tires just got a lump in the profile. Its like a small bubble the size of a penny. How dangerous is this and iv herd they dont let u pass inspection if they see it...?

My stock tires had bubbles in the sidewalls, I replaced them all. If you like your rims enough you might consider replacing the tire before it goes flat, but I've heard people with bubbles have driven another 20-30k miles before replacing them.

That was uber intellegent... Open container in a moving vehicle, and only being 18. Sounds to me like the lock is sticking.

Probably just needs a good cleaning. Not sure what would be the best option, I'd say pour water on it, but then it would cause more problems.
