handling on a cl-s type

I am looking forward on the upcoming 2002 tl s type and since the body of the cl is the same as the tl, i was wondering if the handling is good. What cars does it compare to and anyone know what it scores on the skidpad?

The handling is NOT great.
It is good, I heard the sways and springs greatly improve the handling but make the ride slightly stiffer. The type-s is a luxo coupe not a sports car thats why i bought it for they luxo..

Why do people kept on calling our cars the "S-Type" ?

it's Type-S !!!

only Jaguars have "S-Type". Or maybe you're on the wrong forum ?

Well when I test drove the CL-S the handling was'nt to good! I would give the Cl like a B- in handling. The handling is better than most cars in its class, but its still not a great handling car.

True, but it's easily remedied by springs and sways.

Night and day with change in tires. The stock tires suck (sorry, in my opinion) on smooth concrete and new pavement. They also were not very good in the hydroplane dept.

Switch the tires, and the ride is still great, but sticks like crazy (would not want to drive in the snow).

TL-S will handle slightly better than CL-S tho, because TL-S has a longer wheelbase, more stability.

I'm with you on the tires...goddamn OEM junk...my sidewalls are all brown around the edges from cornering and the minute you do anything more than a mild turn...they squeal.
