I was just at Sears Point last night and got to run the 1/4 for the first time in my CL. The best I pulled was a 14.901, but I let off the gas for the last 30-40 feet because I had beat out the guy already. I would have broke into 14.8...my trap speed was 94 mph. Too much wheelspin still...thinking about it now...you should launch at about 1500rpm and get grip and then gas it. Not bad, considering there was a headwind..maybe 5-10mph..but still faster than a ITR with headers, intake, and exhaust....best I saw him run was 15s....and one with 14.9....so what are you guys running??

Never, ever let off the gas! I can't wait to get to the track with headers and CAI--What's the listed 1/4 for us, 15.2 I think? I would love to see mid-14's with all the mods.

my best is 14.843 @ 94.09 with a 14.866 @ 93.43 to back it up.

this was in january and it was pretty cold. my car was/is utterly stock. I had a full tank of gas. I shut off the a/c and vsa. I left it in auto for all runs.

for the record, my worst was a 17.501 @ 86.96 (my first ever run at a drag strip, and only the second car of the day on that lane). I got better (2 runs later)

0-60 in 5.85
1/4 mile in 14.86 @ 70 mph (I'll have to re-check that)

Nice run. That guy with the ITR probably does not know how to drive. Stock ITR do 14.8-9's

No offense....but like I said the magazines that people quote are times driven by professional race car drivers. They know how to launch and powershift. For the everyday guy to get times like that is not usually possible. Trust me. How many GS-Rs have you seen with headers, intake, and exhaust and they still only run 15.7? A lot I bet. Something a lot of guys out there don't know.
