Hairy Seats?

I searched for this old subject, but couldn't find any threads on it. Remember the hairy seats issue? I know some folks had theirs replaced. Well, my Brother's Honda Pilot is developing hairy seats and they are the same perforated leather material as the CL / TL.

Anyone have links to a TSB or related?

Thanks,
Chrisbert

My seats were hairy 'til the day it left. Jens, Tom, and Wayne at PAA had never seen anything like it.

It basically when tiny threads of material come up through the perforations in our leather seats making them look "hairy."

I actually had a picture of them once. Where the leather on a type S is perforated, the tool used to "perforate" the leather was either not sharp or dirty the day it made my interior. The holes had little strands of leather coming back up therough the holes. It was most noticeable on the rear seats because no one ever sat back there. I had one of the first CL's made in March 2000. A few others had the phenomena as well but it seemed to go away. Since no one ever sat in my back seat, my "hairy" seats were hairy when I turned it in off lease.
