Had my car dyno'd today

I'll post the print out asap.

The best of four pulls was 228.4hp & 192.2 lb ft torque.
Stock the best pull was 198 and 182.

I am completely satisified with the headers!

Astro, did you have your car dyno'd after the IMRC was repaired?

192 ft of torque my god. Beatya all has headers, v-afc and comptech exhaust and his torque was only like 186 something.
is this cuz he had 18inch wheels.?

Could be? I do know that the Ctech exhaust only adds 2hp though.

In that case no rims for mee. I'd rather go w/ performance than looks. I want to keep my car as a sleeper.

When Astoboy gets his dyno done, it will be very interesting. He has very light weight rims. Haven't done the math. Could they be light enough to best the stock rims inertial mass?

for the loss on performance assiocated with larger rims check out
http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/
and click this month issue, then click past issue Jan 2001 and read the power, weight, grip article. They used 18" wheels that were lighter then stock, and lost seconds and MPH with them.

If I do purchase lighter rims they're going to be 17s. Plus the 18 with smaller sidewalls would make the ride too stiff.
Kinda crazy to spend $3k for ~10hp of unsprung wheel weight though.

Thanks for the link. Good article. Did anyone else check out any other articles??

1)
Vortech Civic Si... 272hp/181lb-ft to the WHEELS
0-60: 6.2
1/4 mi 14.4 @ 98.6mph
I would expect a Civic that's putting out over 300hp at the crank to AT LEAST do 13s!

2)
Stage 3 TRD Solara...243hp/228lb-ft to the WHEELS
0-60: 6.2
1/4 mi 14.5 @ 97.8
Thought the stage 3 TRD Solaras were turning low 14s???

Thanks for the article. I do believe that light enough 18" wheels could best the 17" stock wheels (My opinion -- would need a motor to do a spin-up or spin-down test to test the actual rotation inertia)
