I just got my k&n drop-in air filter. It took me 30mins already but I still cannot get the job done!!! I guess this is the dumbest question come to board to ask and shame on me cannot get it done and ask for help. BUT I just cannot reinstall the air cover back and tighten the two bolts!!! ANY tips??

 

There are tabs that need to be 'seated' on the engine side of the cover. I found that if you tilt the cover towards the engine to seat the tabs, the thing slides right in.

and this is the ONLY "production" car that creates enough downforce to be able to be driven UPSIDE DOWN !!

 

Thanks devnull, with the original air filter I have no problem seat the tabs back, but with k&N, that air cover just wouldn't slides in.
I am sure I got the right one for my cls!!!

 

Stupid queston, but you sure it's not 'upside-down'???

If I have money, I am sure I will get as many mods for my cls as you do.

HAHA!! 'upside-down' Hell NO!! B/C I already tried that!! So I am sure I put the right side in. I dont know why just one tab slight in and the other one no matter how hard I push it just won't!!
