guys... do we have a chip for the 3.2 vtec?!?!

Ok well im pretty sure we dont, but i went in for an oil change today, not at the dealer, and some pimple faced kid comes up to me and starts babbling how he loves my car.. well anyways, he said some guy came in with a TL and told him that they make a chip for the 3.2 vtec engine. He said that after the car is broken in that you can go to the dealer and Acura will put a chip in for 50 extra horsepower...the kid didnt know the price of it though. Ok guys WTF IS HE TALKING ABOUT???

by the way i put in 10w 30 mobil one into my car.. is that rite?

someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe our car already performs what most chips do. at least on five litre mustangs, all a chip does is open up everything on full blast when you floor it - i think it remaps the fuel and air intake so that you're getting all you can from the engine. I think our CLs already do that once you floor it through the electronic fuel mapping, etc. then again, i don't know too much about the electronic side of things in our cars, only a bit on the actual mechanical stuff.

OK, here we go with the 'ol chip topic again!

Did anyone of you computer wiz's find out EXACTLY what part of the PCM that Jet [proportedly] reprograms?

I do know for a FACT that I felt an increase in pulling power and exceleration AFTER getting that "10 min adjustment" (see prior threads if you don't know what I'm talking about!)

Member's of this board that are "in the know" say that the chip is NOT programmable, however, JET maintains that it is!

Ever think, and I perish the thought, that they just changed your plugs or advanced the timing a wee bit. You could see some improvement. Man I'd love to be the one that figured out what it is in the snakeoil that they're peddling.
