got worked by rsx-s

i've always thought we should beat rsx-s (stock of course)..i drive an 03 cl-s with aem cai...i had the chance to line up against a debadged rsx-s (well at this point i'm asssuming it was a type s)..anyway we had equal launches...but starting at the top of first he just kept steadily walking away..by the top of third he was a good 2 cars ahead of me. i asked him what he had and he claimed he was stock..which i believe is bullshit considering the sound of his engine was drowning mine out..and my engine isn't exactly quiet with the cai. he was also spinning through the beginning of second pretty badly..leading me to believe hes putting a good amount of power to the ground..anybody have any guesses as to what he might have had? i did have a passenger and a huge ass sub in the trunk if that makes any difference.

probably not supercharged but slightly modded.

My stock CL-s (albeit with pretty worn tires) was beaten by my friends RSX-s. He beat me by about a car length.

What slight mods will cause an RSX to spin in 2nd gear? Maybe if he had every bolt on + chip + worn tires. If he was supercharged, I think you may have heard it. Oh well, nice death.

Nah... a stock RSX-S will even chrip 3rd. Possible he spun a little in 2nd on stock tires.

Those fuckers are quick. A ton of my friends have them. I raced one last night with a Jackson Racing S/C'er (7psi) and pulled really hard on it in 3rd and 4th. However i've lost to one at 9psi.

it was beyond chirping...it sounded like he was puttin some serious power to the wheels the way he was rippin into second. i highly doubt he was FI, i heard none of the telltale sounds of any turbo or supercharger..im guessin he had all the bolt-ons..how fast are they with all boltons?

13s @ over 100 MPH depending on the driver.

Although... there's a lot more "bolt-ons" available to those guys than what we have.

Hondata for one does amazing things for that motor.

i believe there are different hondata chips for the rsx...i recall hearing that all the bolt-ons + a certain hondata is good for 13's depending on driver..whereas another cheaper hondata ecu upgrade will bring the car down to a low 14. not sure though

Plus tires, plus motor mounts, plus a good driver, etc. This is definitely the exception not the rule.

Yes there's a few different types of products Hondata offers. K-Pro being the top of the line product.

I've never raced Becker. The one @ 7psi is Amanda's car and I've raced Brian's car at 9psi.

It could have been a 2005 or 2006 RSX-S. They have significantly shorter gears and run half a second faster in the 1/4 mile compared to 2002-2004 RSX-S's.

I hate to magazine race, but according to the magazines a stock CL-S and a stock RSX-S both run ~14.8s in the 1/4 mile ... Unless your CL-S is a 6spd of course.

2002 RSX Type S (source: Car and Driver, August 2001)
0-60: 6.1 seconds
1/4 mile: 14.8 seconds @ 95mph

2001 CL Type S (source: Motortrend, July 2000)
0-60: 6.4 seconds
1/4 mile: 14.8 seconds @ 96mph

2003 CL Type S (source: Road and Track, July 2002)
0-60: 6.5 seconds
1/4 mile: 14.9 seconds @ 96mph

--- So, stock for stock, the RSX-S has just as much of a chance to beat you as you do ... imho its a driver's race, with the advantage to the CL-S since its easier to get good times with the extra torque.
