I went to my passenger side the other day to pick up some bags I had on my passenger seat. I looked down and I noticed a one inch long rust mark on my door sill.

I'm guessing one of my drunk friends got out too quickly and decided to step on my door sill and scratched deep into the paint.

1) Should I take it to Acura and have them try to fix it under warranty?

2) If you don't think Acura will cover it, how should I go about fixing it.

The rust spot is such a eye sore...luckily it's on my passenger side, and I don't see it everyday. Regardless, I don't want my car to start rusting apart...and it's barely one year old.

Well the car is warranteed against rust, so i would think that it would be covered!

not when it is scratched...just go rub it down with wd-40 to get most of the rust out, then wash the area clean with rubbing alcohol, rub it for a while...then just touch it up...

Go buy some regular Coca Cola. Wet the rag with it and wipe away.

MY buddy has some rust on his panels of his white prelude. Can some coke scrubb off this rust?

i dont think your friends prelude has rust, its probably contaminants from the air and stuck on the car, clay bar will do the job for that...
