Got a New CL-S-Some Pics Inside...
Hey guys I have been cruising this site for about 2 weeks now because I just took on a new job and it involves a lot of field work. My regular ride is an E55 AMG but I couldnt put on too many miles. My company car allowance is between 500-600 per month so I wanted something nice but that I could insure and cover gas with the money allotted. I chose the Type S because it gets good gas mileage and also has a great 6 cylinder power. When I got to the dealer the GM gave me a great deal on his demo which was dropped and had 19 inch wheels on it. I got all the adds for his internal cost which still is probably higher than I would pay normally but this way I rolled the cost into the lease. I have 235x35x19's on it but can I switch to 245x35x19's or will they rub the fenders (not rolled)? The wheels are 7.5 inches wide and I just want a little more traction like I have on my Benzo. Its a great daily driver and the power is there when I need it although its not close to the AMG My apologies in advance for the large pics- I was using my buddies new camera and we didnt even read the directions yet.
Here is a pic of my Benz...

License Plate Frame
Hey thanks for the compliments.... I actually got that frame at another Acura Dealer a few days after I got the car (Sierra Acura in Alhambra).
I had one more question that I forgot to post earlier. When the gas light comes on how many gallons are left. In my Benz there is 2 gallons. I just don't want to cut it close. Thanks for your help.

nice cars, love the rims on the E55...
when the gas light comes on, you have about 2.5 gallons left in your tank...there is certainly enough for 30 or so Miles...

NICE! The E55 is great! I had the pleasure of driving my boss's for a few weeks while he was away. The one & only car I ever got a speeding ticket in Only 109mph in a 70mph zone Didn't feel like it! Expensive ticket though at $460!

Nice cars...those are some sweet ass rims on the CL-S.
About the gas thing, I thought it was 3 gallons until last week....the light went off, and yada yada, 27 miles later, me and my buddy are pushing my car into the gas station....and I know for a fact I'm not getting 9 miles/gallon...So, you can assume it is 3, but assumptions are the mother of all F**k ups....
Oh, and I could only get the tank to fill to 16.5 gallons not the 17.2 the manual states (not a big deal)

You guys crack me up with the photoshop pics. The wheels are Z5000 Racing Hart Evolutions and the dealer I got it from uses Neuspeed springs to drop their cars. Per the GM it drops the car about 1.8 inches or so. It looked and rode very nice and I just compared it to my E55 which is dropped with H&R's and Bilstein Sports and the ride was pretty good. My E55 is actually harsher but then again its a completely different car.
I work for an independant finance company that handles all kinds of car dealers- thus the discount on the car and the adds. I get paid 36.5 cents per mile and drive about 1800 miles per month give or take a few. I got the CL exactly the way you see it- the GM picked out the wheels, springs, and badging.
I still was wondering if I can put 245x35x19's on the car without rubbing?? I want some more rubber on the road- these tires look like pizza cutters to me. Also where can I get the grille with the red Acura emblem??
Thanks again!

Also want to comment, that one thing I don't like is that with most FWD cars, the offset and tire widths are so weak compared to RWD german cars. My buddy's getting 255 rear and 245 fronts with offsets of 32 / 38 (or something close to that). Damn!
No fat tires or deep dishes!

I don't have any experience with G-tech's but most people here don't really trust them to be accurate, only timeslips are valid it seems. In either case, the CL-S is supposed to average between 6.4-6.8 (stock-automatic). Perhaps we need someone with a 6-speed, with comptech headers, plugs, pulleys, lighter wheels/tires, CAI and the 2 mystery mods (do a search), then maybe we'll see mid 5's...maybe...
The stock wheels weigh 25 lbs and that's just a 17x7 wheel (so they aren't considered light or heavy, just average).

I've had several stopwatch runs of 6 or below, a 5.82 a 5.86 a 5.90 and 6.01 all in the last month with the cooler weather and lighter Volk wheels. It's not scientific, but it's close.
