Got my CL-S today!

Just got home with my CL Type S! Ended up getting the Satin Silver with black leather, and the 6 speed of course. Also got a great deal - way under invoice and they also threw the rear spoiler in at the end of the deal. I'll have to get that put on later as I wanted to bring the car home tonight...

I wanted to thank the members and the board for the wealth of information... It really helped me not only make up my mind but also get a good deal.

Thanks guys! Now, I'm going to go play with my new toy for a while.

Thanks darrin, noted and corrected.

I ended up getting it (with spoiler) for about $1500 under invoice. They really wanted to get rid of the car today... raining and end of the month.

So I will be looking at some mods once the weather warms up I LOVE the feel of this car!

Oops... I overstated the deal a little... I ended up getting it for $27,600 pre-tax (~$1100 under invoice if memory serves) and this is w/o navi. Still not bad I think. I used the savings to go ahead and get the extended warranty since I plan of driving the car for the long haul.

Headers will be a definitely possibility this summer. I noticed a lot of you guys also replace the springs, also a possibility. I don't like the stock tires so I think I'll have to burn them up quickly

I'll try and get some pics this weekend if it would ever stop raining/sleeting! I'd like to have a few before I get the spoiler to compare how it looks.

Thanks again to all of you for the help leading up to this purchase, I appreciate it. Damn glad to be driving my CL-S, it's the nicest, most powerful car I've owned since my 66 Mustang GT! (sigh... I miss that old girl) But I especially love it since everyone in DC has to drive a Bimmer, Lexus, Audi or Mercedes (blah)... mine should be a wee bit unique, which I dig very much.

Going for a ride now... must... restrain.... urge... to get... to 6th gear in city.....

Damn good deal there....I wish I could've saved that extra dough to add springs and sways. Be careful out there....it's slippery!

Yep, Radley. I had the same deal (after mucho haggling over the email) from Pohanka as well, but with no spoiler. Radley is closer to me as well.

Anyone know if Radley's service department is any good? I remember several DC area folks saying they kinda sucked in the department....

Oh, and thanks gsrblack... It aint easy in that thing is it

Thanks again everyone... Just got back in from driving around in the rain, what fun! The shift off the line from 1st to 2nd is just... so... well, if you have a 6spd, you know what I'm trying to say.

minla, I'm very glad to hear that you still love your car after a few years. Personally, unless I have unexpected "problems", I can't see getting tired of driving this car! As for Radley's service dept, what exactly was your trouble with them? Just curious. I negotiated the whole deal over the internet, through email mostly. The internet sales staff were great, much better than your average "salesman."

I sure hope it clears up tomorrow cuz I want to get this puppy into a gear higher than 3rd

After taking delivery of mine late one Saturday night, I had to bring it back to them to install the spoiler/mudguards/bra/etc. I had to take it back a second time again becuz I wasn't happy with the install of some of these items, plus somewhere a rim got curbed. When I called to see if everything was ok and was told it would be ready, the problem with the snap inside the fender hadn't been addressed (they returned it to stock - WRONG) and I was told that they would have to order another rim. I told them that they had 30 cars up top in their lot, and I wasn't about to make another fawking trip from home (Pa) or work (near BWI) when they could just do a swap. Info'd my salesman, who got a car from above and brought it down to swap out the rim. Their hours may be convenient (until 2am), but based on the simple stuff I wanted done with the install of the Acura options, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back unless there was a major warranty item which I would hold them accountable for. However, I did get a new TL and a new CL-P for loaners the two times I had to take it back, and both cars had fewer miles on them than mine did (close to 200 miles round trip from the dealer to home), so I'll give them props for that.

Pluto_1969. Congrat's, we're both newbies to the CL-S it appears. You'll have to tell me how you like it seeing you'll be many miles ahead of me (until spring)!

Have fun

Thanks guys, I've had a blast driving around town this morning What a blast to drive! Comfort, power, I couldn't have asked for a better car for the price! And I loved the looks from the Beemer drivers this morning... sort of a "what the heck IS that?" expression on thier face as I roared away from the light.

Stejus, it had 7mi when I picked it up, I've got 43 on it as of this morning... I'll keep you posted.

Syncros-CL6, I hear ya... that's what ended up making me get the silver (I'm lazy). I also thought the black interior was a little more sportscar-ish than the parchment, which looks a little more classy.

Y2K3CL-S, you had your problem at Radley? Well, regardless of the service department, I have to give props to their internet sales dapartment - by far the most pleasant car buying experience I ever had. In and out in 3 hours total.

Must eat and hit the road again in the afternoon. One more question.... have any of you 6spd owners had any problems with your trannys so far?
