Got my actuator fixed...OH MAN!

THIS CAR IS FAAAASSSSSTTTTT!!!

I wanna drive around and look for those 328's and even a 323!! that killed me on the streets!!

DAMN DAMN DAMN, i never felt the car like this before after 3500 rpm..i dont think my actuator was EVERY working.. SHITTT!!

this is a good day for me

oh yeah, i also had to replace my front brake pads... almost 300 dollars canadian..

THE WHOLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT hates my guts, cause i was right, they were so negative about it when i was trying to argue that the problem exists..they told me No unless i dyno the car...even when i got them to do it..they said "okay, but were just going to try this, i doubt there is a problem"

I remember way back when I posted the question, "I wonder how many people out there have busted actuators and will never know it?" Many people responded by scolding me and saying that this is probably a very limited problem overall.

Once again, I beg to differ. I don't know how many people are on this board, but I'm sure at least 15 of us have had our actuators replaced since way back in the days of honda-acura.net. That is a very significant percentage of cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Acura should absolutely do a recall on this. Something such as this the average, or even above average, driver would never know about and would never know the true performance value of their car.

How do you get in touch with Acura? I will gladly write thme a letter to let them know of this major problem.

I would have never looked had I not found this board. I had some one rev the car up to 4k and I saw this thing turn which looks like it pulls a cable. It must be the actuator cause it only rotates at around 4k and rotates back when the throttle is let go. Plus, it's in the same area you guys mention. It's kinda in the middle back of the motor around the top.

Tell you another sh*t, 50% of CLs drivers do not know how to harness the full power of their CLS. Let me give you a simple example, Assuming in D5, on HW, you have a car to pass, most would jam the gas pedal to the floor, rather then down shifting to 3 in SS.

I never felt the need to floor it on the HW what so ever.

Another example, lanuching technique from a stop, I assure you that most drivers don't know how to minimize the spinning of those Touring tires. Including myself, however, my solution was easy I switched to Nitto 555 and no more spinning.

And story goes on and on, few tips here and there make the difference.

Happy motoring
