Driving down I-270 coming from my girls crib, and she has the CL, I am driving the Probe, and this MR2 cuts between us. Being the aggressive driver she is, she drops down, punches it, bounces outside of him and lets her go - VRRROOOMMM, she's off, and I drop to 3rd, and follow her. Within a few seconds, I look up and hear this fucker sounding like a Diesel Rig HAULIN' MAJOR ASS!!!!! He blows by us and I try to keep up to no avail, I let it go after 105 seeing it's a holiday weekend - Pure cop traps all weekend long.

I eventually see the little shit after I exit my off ramp, pull into the gas station and spoke with the guy. His name is Tad, he gets lots of tickets - hence the SR-22 insurance he got, and its a twin turbo with madd boost. He runs consistent 11's in it. I gave him his props and bounced to the crib for some cake.

 

something like that happened to me on the beltway this past summer. i saw like a mid 90's black VW gti coming up behind me fast so i slowed down and got next to the guy at about 50mph or so, then we floored it...and god damn did that thing take off. it was like i was left standing still, i even checked my foot to make sure i had the car floored. when i gave up i was at 105 and he was about a 1/4 mile or so ahead so he had to be doing at least 120-130. when i caught up to him he started lauging and i gave him a thumbs up...as he pulled away to make his turn, i saw his license plate holder had a website address for a car shop so i looked it up on the internet when i got to work. on the homepage was the picture of this guys car with him standing next to it with its 1/4 times listed as 11.xx, it was low but forget how low. its some performance shop in MD that specializes on VW's and Audi's.

edit: its www.eiptuning.com, it didnt use to have all those stickers on it and no im not blind, but i really didnt see the intercooler.

unlikely unless you're one of those who read the engine which says "twin entry turbo" and then think"oh it must be a twin turbo

I know when I see 2 Turbos under the hood of a car, I had 2 turbocharged cars before, I ain't 16 you know. It was a custom job with 2 small ass turbos, but nonetheless, a Twin Turbo set up. All I can say is the fucker is quick, and he prolly blew lots of shit just trying to get it where it is now.

And yes, thew chicks gota lay easy on the CL's, they take this macho dick thing street racing way too seriously!

 

was it the 90-96 mr2 twin turbo (factory turbos) or a 2000-2002 mr2 with a aftermarket turbo kit?

 

are there even 2x turbo kits avaliable for the 2002 mr2?

Even though the new ones look like shit, they are sooo light and manuverable...if what gavill posted is true, and there's going to be a 180 hp mr2 out, i think that'll be my next car...

 

no there arent any twin turbo kits for the 2000-2002, but with enough money a custom kit could be done.

 

Was this an older mr2 or a newer one?
