Good news from Comptech for CL-P!
For all the CL-Pee'rs.
- The 98-02 Accord V6 model Comptech kit will fit the CL-P engine with minor modifications.
- Or Slap the Type-S intake manifold on the CL-P engine and go ahead and get the Type-S Comptech kit.
I don't know if everybody knows this, but I figured I'd throw it out there for 's and people who would like to do this configuration.
Maybe a mod will sticky this for good general info.

I've called around to a few Acura dealerships to ask what I'd need for the Type-S conversion...and so far this is what I know.
Obviously need the Type-S intake manifold...comes with the RPM switch
- Type-S throttle body. (the throttle body comes with the extra sensors)
- Type-S fuel rails, larger than -Premium rails
- Type-S IM gaskets...(I'm going to get OE TB's though.)
EDIT: I'm thinking I might need a Type-S ECU to control the IM/throttle body sensors and switch.

Fuel rails are the same between the Type-S and the Premium.
The upper manifold does not come with the actuator, that is sold seperately.
The outlaw engineering throttle body spacer cannot be used with the supercharger.
And you're engine is too different than a Type-S to run the ECU. You're better off using a piggy back engine management if you want the most performance.

I'm better off waiting for the supercharger since I'm going to convert to a type-s IM and forget about the thermobloks.
Seems like a lot of people are using the VAFC.
I wouldn't have to buy the RPM switch if I'm running off the VAFC?
Why the hell would the acura parts sales tell me that the fuel rails are different?

Even with a custom elbow, a spacer won't fit since it pushes the elbow out to much.

The spacer are not worth it. For the amount of gain you'd get it doesn't seem worth it to start hacking up a $200 elbow.

Another question...E-manage or UniChip?

well if he upgrades to the type S manifold, then I'm sure it won't need modification to teh elbow, but if he uses the CLP manifold he should just get custom elbow made, which would probably cost less than doing all the shit needed to change to the typeS manifold, adn the rpm switch for the butterfly valve and all the other stuff.
at minimum you could just install the spacer between the lower and upper IM, and not hte TB spacer.

I want to put the typeS IM on. Sure it is going to be some serious dough but it will be worth it when its all done.
typeS IM, typeS CT S/C, Zex dry nitrous, and a piggy back chip and including the other mods I have right now. This J32A1 is going to be crazy.

So are you doing this to make at track car, street car or what? I mean, you will make more power with just a turbo then you would with that supercharger and nitrous. I know the transmissions suck, but you might want to look into that if you are going through with all this.

EDIT: The tranny is going to be built up to be able to handle the power any who.
I'm leaning towards 1/4 mile street/track car. Eventually I want another CL (type-s) but I want to keep that stock.

Ok, come down to the east coast and run with titan, thinjim or myself. j/k
anyway, good luck
I had nitrous before I had a turbo on my tl, and it was fun but the bottle doesnt last. Supercharger is cool though, I'm sure you would enjoy it.

I will as long as the bank account doesn't roll over. I want to get out and see the different clicks out there
I'm pretty sure I will enjoy the bottle and the supercharger combo. It definately will be interesting.
