Exclamation good deal?

hey, new to the cl family... just purchased an 03 type S a/t silver no spoiler with 32k on it for $16993 from a honda dealership in NY where i live... anything i should look for? carfax clean, not leased, tranny recall done, wondering why the rims are so ugly as compared to the split spoke ones, maybe the previous owner had no style... also wondering if this is as great a deal as it seems to be... body is mint, rims have scratches but will be replaced after winter... does the 7yr/100k mile warranty apply here? does it cover all the little things everyone has talked abt such as htd seats , warping rotors, sunroof rattle, etc.... thanks for any help possible

Not a bad price since it only has 32K on it. I've had mine for about two months now and no complaints and mine now has 70K on it. The 7yr/100k warranty only applies to the auto tranny, nothing else. Good luck and welcome to the CL family!

Congrats,
if you got a CLS the split-spoke rims are stock, not sure what rims your car has.

Yeah, it's strange sometimes where people buy a car and then signup for the forum... I did the opposite... Joined 2 months before I bought my 6spd...

i live in smithtown, new york on long island... well the car isnt paid in full, only a $150 deposit down on it, trading in hooked up 06 scion tc plus $985 for the car which was selling at $16993. Still have scion being that the dealer doesnt have the title for the cl yet... crazy honda dealerships... planning on adding stock spoiler as well as 17" tl type s chrome wheels, seems like a great deal being that 07 tc in stick sells at $15900 brand new and mine has 13k miles on it already... trading it in with aftermarket leather, dvd system (broken but they dont know, hehe), infinity sound system, and 18" enkei wheels (oem)... tc seemed unsafe as theres no traction or stability control, as well as no side air bags and wheels not condusive to wintry weather

stock spoiler? whatever you do, dont buy it from the dealership. i got charged something like 500-650 range for mine. i was a new buyer and didnt know i could get it on ebay for about 1/3 that price. then i saw someone on this forum selling theirs for 60 dollars parting theyr car out haha. i kicked myself big time

Welcome. Seems like a decent price for the miles. Post some pics or the sales link.

I traded in my 04 Civic Si w/Jackson Racing Super Charger amoung other mods for my CL-S. Even though I love my CL-S I wish I would've sold my Si privately instead of trading in considering how much $$$ I put into it. Oh well. You're right, at least now I have safety, reliability and torque!!!

Welcome to the forum. The warranty will take care of any suspect rattles, (trunk welds, rear deck, and sunroof are the common ones). It will not cover warped rotors, but with 32k, the dealership might do a good will swap if they warp in the next couple thousand miles. If they dont, Rotora slotted rotors are a nice upgrade. Heated seats, and things like that are covered as well. Like any other car warranty, they'll cover the non-wear items.

If you have any other questions, search is your best friend.

Easy there , by money pit, I think they meant that modding your car is addicting and expensive, hence, "money pit."
