Exclamation trannytrannytranny....

Ok, now... I think i might be one of the lucky ones but who knows at this point... My '03 cl-type-s a/t is one of the few not involved in the tranny recall... does this mean my tranny works better? does this mean i don't get the 7yrs/100k warranty? if not what kind of coverage do i have?? and from the dealer could you have gotten any other rims on a type s besides the split spoke... mine has rims that look more like the regular cl rims and i'm wondering why... i forget whether theyre 16's or 17's... i was thinking maybe the prev owner destroyed the split ones somehow...

The Type P wheels are 16's.

Are you sure it's a type S?

As for the tranny, it may be that it will never happen or it hasn't happen yet. Not something you can predict. Either way, they really stand by the warranty.

Question actually

my friend who works for acura in florida says that the type s came with a choice of two sets of wheels, but that most people chose the split spoke style...any ideas about this?

I asked about chrome rims, but the split spokes were stock. The dealer said they could put on some 16" chromies for a price Dealers will put any wheels you want on the car for a price...

My guess is that the prior owner bought some aftermarket rims, and sold the original rims. Then when it was time to sell/trade the car, he sold the aftermarket and bought some cheap stock replacements (01-02 CLS or CLP rims).... Either that or he traded the aftermarket ones for the set you have on there now plus some cash...
