Yes. The gold looks bad on just about anything, IMO.

I wish they had a black chrome accessory direct from Acura...like my poll thread at

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=96581

I'm trying to figure out what I want them to do to my car. I'm a little leary of them painting the top of my car and blending it in with the rest of the body. Also, for them to paint the hood and trunk, I'm afraid it will somehow void Acura's paint warranty.

Just trying to get the compensation for if I don't get part of the car repainted. I figure I might be able to live with the paint problems since later on, I'll end up picking up rocks and stuff and who knows, what if I get hit or something and it wrecks the car?

Was offered the wood steering wheel, but don't want it. Offered a spoiler, but already have it. Maybe they will go for multiple accessories since the rest are piddly stuff.

Gold doesn't look THAT bad on a white car.

It’s a matter of personal preference of course, but I think Gold Emblems look best on Black, Blue & white.
I don’t know about Anthracite. I think I would vote NO.

I do like the gold on the blue, except for the grille - that looks weird for some reason.

Oh, and Shawn, those rims are NICE. How much did they run you?

The problem I see is that I don't believe any of the listed would make me feel better about a paint defect.

I know what you mean...I think I am really leaning towards getting all the tops of the car repainted. Unless Acura comes back and gives me a little more than just 1 accessory...they were even willing to offer me the wood wheel (I think retails for $500 or something) and they did mention the spoiler (retails for $600 or $700, but I already have it)...but if they were to offer me a bunch of the little stuff that total about $500 or $600, I think I'd take it. As for the service, I'll probably pass knowing I may not be living in this area when those miles come by.

But I do fear that the paint job wouldn't be done right and I may be getting myself into more headaches.

You buy what you like. If it makes you happy, then go for it. Everyone has different tastes. I have a white car w/gold emblems and think it looks good. What other people think is what they think.

paint your tires gold while you're at it.

(yes, I meant tires, not rims)

I’m always amazed at how many HATERS this subject brings out of the woodwork.

All I can say is there are tons of “mods” that people do to their rides that I think are stupid and foolish and downright UGLY, but I’m mature enough to keep my mouth shut most of the time.
Obviously some of you are NOT.
