Talking going to the track tonight: whats my time?

So, i went to Honda cars of Bradenton today and had 2 new 225/45 tires on, my tranny flushed with new MTF fluid, and new 5w-30 Full synthetic oil.
Car is running great, but still havent received my new IMRC acctuator, so i still have the butterflys deleted.
Its gonna be 61 degrees tonight with about the same humidity.
With my small amount of mods(in my sig.), what do you think my times are gonna be?
i'll take pictures of my timeslips vor verification

just thought it would be fun to see what people think...

good guesses guys, but my mph was waaaay lower than expected!!

worst of the night was a 15.92(1st run), spinning through 1,2, and 3rd. launched @ 3k, and that just didnt work out for me.
then the rest of the night my girlfriend rode in the car with me(she is only 123lbs), so i dont think it made much of a difference, and i didnt launch @ all, but the best was a....................................

14.63 @ 96.06mph
r/t .006
60ft 2.30
1/8 9.53 @ 76.14

Very dissappointing, but hopefully once i get my accuator on, it will help me out some, because I had no mid range power @ all. The wheel hop and spinning is obsurd in my car. The only time i didnt have all that was when i just barely gave it gas @ start and eased into it, then i ran a 14.81, so i dont know. Hell, in my automatic years ago, i ran a 14.59 @ 97mph
Im sure i would have been a little faster with my girlfriend outta the car, but i still ran shitty times.
My r/t was really good all night though, and consistant, so i won a lot of races which was fun!!!

Reese was out there with his 280whp car, and he was running 13.8's..all in all, it was a fun night even though my times where dissappointing.
i need some traction and no wheel hop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, btw, it was 68 with 80% humidity outside

The biggest factor is this isn't a track car. It's hard to get traction to get good times on a 6MT. Unless your experienced at it. I'm not I did the track thing a few times & couldn't break 14.8 cause I could not get any traction. No matter what I tried. I gave up.
I dyno 250ish to the wheels.

really? damn. it is veeeery hard to keep control of it until third gear.
I thought these cars are supposed to run a 14.2-14.5 stock in my climate and altitude here in florida? Guess not unless they had slicks or no tire pressure to get traction without wheel hop.

My tire pressure last night was a little high though(35lbs). I forgot to lower it before i raced.

I did get a lot of kills last night though(370z, boosted crx, swapped hatch, srt-4 neon, and some others) because i was killin them at the light.

whats gonna help me not have wheel hop and better traction?

mostly practice. you will get the hang of it around your 15th run.

i went from a 14.6 to 14.2 in the same day.

then i put down a 14.1 this weekend on a bad clutch.

its mostly knowing how to get the most effective launch and that means not flooring it once you dump the clutch.

if you rev to 1500rpm then floor it right after launch you will still have wheel hop, you gotta slide into the accelerator and work the clutch.

practice practice practice.

get some smaller wheels to lower your effective gear ratio and some better tires for the front. the larger the sidewall the better the traction.

make sure your camber and toe are dead on. you can even have them jack the car up 2-3 inches up front and align it so its in spec under acceleration -i plan to do this after i put my new clutch in.

well thanks. im hoping to get that 14.1 after i fix my Imrc and lower my tire pressure and go by myself without my girlfriend in the car.

ease into it was what i was trying, but getting that balance without wheel hop or spinning through 3rd was impossible for me last night.

i def. want some bigger tires. those 225/45 Falken 912's i got yesterday didnt do a damn thing...lol
does the poly fill help at all with wheel hop?

appreciate the responses..thanks

if youre spinning through third then the track is trash or your tires are plastic.

So true i barely spin on 2nd gear.
I launch my car at 2300-2500rpm not more. If you dont spin you will burn the clutch. A bit spin is a good thing but not to much. Listen to my video how the tires span.

Dont do burnout. Everytime i do i cant hit anything better than 14.5/6

BTW we have 1/4 thread in the other section.

I guessed you'd do a 14.68 and you did a 14.63, not bad if I do say so myself Your reaction time of .006 was top fuel territory, fantastic. We all know it doesn't effect E.T., but the first car to the other end wins. Your 2.3 60' really isn't horrible, but would have to come down to get in the low 14's. Headers would knock off another 2 or 3 tenths.

NO BURN OUTS OR LAUNCHES.
like i said, with only me in the car, lower my tire pressure from 40lbs to 25lbs and fixing my imrc, i bet i can get a 14.4 or better.
once i get headers and bigger tires, i wanna be around 13.9-14.1...
the track was shitty for a while till they cleaned it up, then my car spun less but lots more wheel hop. and my clutch was smelly all night...
as far as my reaction times, .006 -.04 all night, with a few .11, .17, 2 reds too..lol.
total of 10 runs...

you shouldnt run 40 psi at all. most tires max pres. is 45. with the florida heat you are probably in the 55psi range when hot

I've had tires with max PSI values of 48 & 50 PSI. Even if I filled them to 40 or 42 psi cold they never were more then a few more PSI higher when hot.

Adjust your tire pressure for your tires, your car loads & your driving conditions.
I found 38 PSI cold is fine for me & that's 40-41 when hot.

THIS

is the culprit. You will have absolutely no traction with that much psi in the front. Lower it to 24 for the fronts and you will hook up without a doubt.

The poly will also increase ride harshness. So you have to decide what your going for with the car. I took the poly mounts off my car. I wanted a smooth ride. Was jarring with the mounts in there for normal driving. At least on my car.

25psi may be too low for the rim size. Try backing it down 5 psi at a time. Eventually you'll see diminished returns

i figured that. thats exactly what i asked streetka, and he said he didnt see a difference.

i dont wanna take the comfort away from the car at all. I just wanna make my car beat all the 350z's around here and still be luxury too..lol

thanks for all the responses guys. Much appreciated

got my imrc acctuator today. Will install this week along with my back 3 spark plugs and be back at the track this weekend.

No passenger, 25psi tires, working imrc, and launch will hopefully = 14.2-14.4.

my trap speed was low too, wonder why?
shouldnt i be around 98mph?
96mph is all i could get
