Glue from temp tags

I just got my real plates today. However, I am stuck with this ugly glue strip across the back window from the temporary tag (anyone in NJ knows what I'm talking about.) My wife was driving with the windows down and sunroof off and the turbulence in the car just ripped it off. Any ideas on how to get rid of this glue residue. I know I need to be gentle because of the rear defroster......

I had something similar on my car but it was in the front window. I used a citrus based product called goo gone to remove it. Get a cotton cloth wet with it and rub, rub, rub.

Alcohol.
Use the rubbing kind as Chivas would be overkill and sticky.

I use rubbiing alcohol. I know how it feel to have that temp shit on the car. I told my dealer dont stick but put it on the corner of the rear windshield.

I didn't have any rubbing alcohol handy, but I did happen to have a can of the Bug&Tar remover. That stuff ate right through the glue. I couldn't believe how easy it came off! Thanks Brack!
