ghetto Acura Roadside Assistance
alright, here's what happened. i went to play some basketball at a park for about 2 hours, come back and find my acura unable to start. this is the first time that it ever happened to me. well anyways, i called acura, and i asked for a jump and they said it'll take 45 MINUTES, i repeat 45 MINUTES to arrive. so i'm like whatever. well, 45 minutes passed and still no sign of a yellow tow truck. minutes later, a black bucket 1991 acura integra, black rims, black everything, pulls up to me and says, did you call for a jump? . sorry if i offend anyone on this but it was a mexican driving a ricer. anyways, he jumped started my car and i was on my way. where the hell does acura find these people doing services like this?

It was Pepe...
aznxtallxboy: You probably ran into my cousin Pepe!
I'm just kidding...just playing around with my own race, that's fine right?
That does seem VERY strange for Acura to do something like that. I would actually call back and ask WTF they were thinking...

BUY MY CL - see garage!
Acura Roadside works through contract garages. the kid just worked at the garage and they sent him in his own ride instead of a "mechanic" in a wrecker.
i'd call acura and let them know, I'm sure they wouldn't like an impression like that going out

So what happens if a young vulnerable woman calls for TLC on her Acura and some “Honda employee ricer dude” shows up to help her?
She’s just supposed to assume he’s really the support guy they sent?
Or what about some executive driving an RL?
I really don’t think either image would look good for Acura.

also want to mention, the first time i called acura roadside was when i locked my keys in the trunk, don't ask me how, haha, but anyways, it was actually a tow truck the first time, but it was all beat up and janky like the ones that tow for the city or something, the fellow didn't come by himself, he had his whole family with him, wife and kids, it was like a fiesta in there

So, you like to generalize, eh? I love generalizing. For instance, I'm gonna assume you're chinese, even though you could have roots from any asian country. I have no problem with people calling me mexican when I'm peruvian, just as long as nobody has a problem with me calling them chinese when they're asian, english when they're american, african when they're american...etc. You should be happy that a hispanic took an interest in your asian culture (referring to the ricey comment). In the future, refer to us as hispanic.

It's not Acura. Read the fine print on the back of your TLC card.
They outsource it to another company. Blame them, not Acura. Same thing with AAA. They don't have a staff of roadside assistance; they contract independent businesses.
And sometimes, these businesses may meet the standards at first, but as time goes by, they just don't give a shit.

I had a similar situation. I had to wait 45 minutes when I called for a jump and was surprised when a young guy in an unmarked old red pickup showed up. He was able to jump my car so I was just happy to be on my way.

in the mid 80s I had this POS Alfa which used to die reularly, so I had AAA. used to wait HOURS for those mofos to show up. 45 minutes would have been a dream... thank God cars are more reliable now.
