getting windows tinted

Gonna get my windows tinted on sunday and i can't decide what kind to get.

What do you guys think i should do, get the mirror tint, like the benz's on my silver CL or just go with the black limo tint.

Can anyone post pics of their tint with percentage?
Anyone have the mirror tint?

pls post pics, it would really help me out. Thanks

What color is your car, inside and out, this greatly effects the look of window tint.

dark tint

I have a silver '03 CLS and had HP Charcoal #6 (the darkest they offered) tinting put on the rear and the rear side windows. I think it looks great - no pics, though, sorry.

Silver paint with all black interior.

I put red leds on the panels that holds the tweeters for my alarm. Do you guys think that you can still see them if i go with the mirror tint if i tint the front windows too?

I'm leaning towards the limo tint, with the back three windows pretty dark and the two fronts to where i wont get hassled too much by the cops.

Any pics would help my decision.

The dark tint looks good on the lighter cars like white or silver.
I went the darkest you can go (for Texas) and now I want to go lighter. Besides the fact I can't see out at night worth shint, IMO the dark tint against the anthracite paint is not appealing. My tint shop wouldn't guarantee no damage to my defroster wires if I remove and retint so for now I'm unchanged.

My car had tint on it when i got it. Just took it off myself.

Wasn't that hard. Just need a heat gun, some degreaser, and another person to heat up the tint from the outside while your inside slowly pulling off the tint. Then just use the degreaser to take the excess glue.

Gonna go with 20% in the rear, and 35% on the two front windows.

I'll post pics when i'm done.

Go check out my ride.
http://public.fotki.com/baboya96/

I got 20% tint all around except my front windshield. Nothing on my windshield since police would pull my ass over even if i have something like 50% tint. The place I got my tint at offered me 5% limo tint for same price but I declined it due to my interior color. With ebony interior, I think 20% is about the lowest you should go for IMO. Only thing about our car is our rear windshield has about 5 inches of dots from the top. My guy spray painted from the inside and it turned out GREAT as you can see from the pic. If you aren't worried about getting pulled over for 20% tint then, I say go for it. I usually roll my windows down whenever I'm near cops. Had it for about a year now and so far problem free. (knock on wood!!).. hope this helps and best of luck to u!

I have 15% all around. That's as low as I'd ever go. I've had it on several cars. I tried 5% once, I couldn't see a thing. I guess if you lived where there are plenty of street lights like NYC or LA you could see, but not the dark ass FL roads we have.

I have a Yukon with 2 layers of 8% all around, My windshield is 35%. I have had a few tickets for this. On my fiances CL...it is 1 layer of 15%, and has no tint on the windshield. 2 layers becomes a problem when backing up at night. I do not reccomend it unless yo live on the road.

I like how my car looks without tint... but I also dont like that people can see in it easily, so I might tint it soon. not sure if I should go 20% or 35% though (anthracite w/ ebony). also it will keep the interior a little cooler in the summer and save the leather. maybe 20% on rear, and 35% on sides??? I'm so indecisive

Do you have anyother pics of your tint? Is it that mirror/smoke tint that looks kind of grayish?
