Getting a Unorthodox Crank!

I just put in a order for a unorthodox crank pulley, silver color. I know there are gains to be had from this, but i havent seen any dynos. I am not planning on dynoing it myself, but i will test it against my friends car. Its a g35c auto that i have lost by 1/2 car every time weve tried. If these pulleys really do give power, i should be able to take him this time. I will post about the next run we have.
Oh, before i forget, what belts did everyone get? i dont want any squeaking which i know some have had.

just be prepared for additional tire spin that you'll need to be able to control

TypeR,

My goal for next year is at least hit 13.99s @100 MPH! I prefer to stay NA. Do you think that my only option is the 3.5L upgrade?

Thanks.

depends on how the piggy back ecu comes out. do you want to accomplish your goal on your 18" street tire setup?

no...i think..with light weight wheels like SSR comp 16's and a 235 -245 drag radial, UR crank, koni adj. shocks, rear atleast ,exhaust, comp B pipe, headers, icebox,or other cai,may as yell through in the Tstat and fan switch for good measure..it is possible if a piggy back of some sort was available that'd help ...the key will be a low 2.0 or better 60'

Yes, on 18" 235/40/18. I like this setup.

Now each wheel with tire is 47 lbs. Each Wheel is 23 lbs. However, I may ditch my wheels and get some lightweight centerline with ES 100 tire. I think i can drop each corner by at least 5-7 lbs. I may be go as low 40 lbs/corner

The only issue is that there is no centerline wheel with 18x7.5 or 18x8 with +45.

I am now on my curent setup below. I hit 14.6s consistent now even in the summer. In Cold weather I am looking to 14.2-14.3s. However, I want to be consistent at 13.99-14.0 at 100+ MPH!

I computed to hit 14.0 and Traps at 100+ MPH I need to dyno at 215 lbft SAE and top of 250+ WHP.

My CLS is now at 190-195lbft and 226 WHP SAE... 25 lbft more will do.

i have headers! check my sig. i think we need more than just i/h to beat a g35 coupe. the crank pulley will definately help edge them out. now, the best is having a 3.5L block. i think with a 3.5 block and just intake we could take a g. since headers provide only peak gain at high rpm, it doesnt make up for 1st gear torque. this is where the g pulls most, not in the high end. in fact, with h/i i was able to slightly pull up closer and eventually ahead of the g.

power.. please update me/everyone after your install... i'm strongly considering the crank pulley too ,... lemme know how difficult the install is, and how much it costs you to install it if you have someone do it for you .. thanks

JohnTypeS gained 15hp and 12lb-ft 'ccording to his dyno .. he dynos before and after EVERY mod he buys and installs. So he added the crank pulley after having the intake/headers... so you'll definitely feel the crank pulley .. the best part is that you'll see the power gains THROUGHOUT the powerband, not just the stupid end of the powerband like the headers
