CT springs are now Eibach Springs.. I wouldn't spend the extra money on CT when you could buy Eibach cheaper.. Your choices would be Eibach or H&R springs.. Are you asking the life of the stock shocks with aftermarket springs on?

Shouldn't be a big deal. I got my springs with around 25k miles (I think it was like 27k) and I'm still on my stock shocks.

FWIW, I have the H&R Sports.

CT now repackages Eibachs? Is it due to the rust issue? When did they switch to Eibach?

I might break down and finally mod my stock 6spd. I've got 26K miles on her, but I don't have any concerns about the springs affecting anything...

I'll probably go with the HR Oem sports (less agressive drop) from JB in the sping. Great price and JB is a forum sponsor

Just my opinion…

If I were installing lowering springs on a car with 25K+ miles on it, I’d also replace the shocks or go with a full coilover system.
Why go through the hassle of ripping everything apart again in a few years if/when the shocks fail?
Plus you have to pay for install & alignment again too.
Sure it might last to 100K without a problem, but then again it may not.

Shawn is right.. I went through this hassle with my springs.. The shocks I threw on while replacing the broken comptechs cost me nothing extra on the install.. Installation was $250 for springs so it's expensive work and a hassle.. Better to replace the springs and shocks while you're at it..

That's why I've been keeping it stock. I think if I stiffen up the suspension, it might make for a rougher ride. I'd hate to disturb my napping during my morning commute and my old bones might not like taking the abuse...

Maybe I should take you up on that offer... I'm too old for a 6spd... Would a straight trade be acceptable

you might want to get springs and shocks now and avoid the extra hassle of changing the shocks later on, get the tein ss coilovers

Don't forget the Tein Luxury Springs.

They have the same drop as the original Comptechs.

I have 20k miles on my eibach prokit and stock shocks... and the ride is definitely bouncy now and somewhat harsh going over ruts/potholes. I do a lot of city driving and highway miles through construction areas though.

I meant trade with me instead of Jonesi.

I could use a six speed.
