Getting ready to flush radiator fluid anyone ever use purple ice by royal purple?

I am getting ready to flush my Radiator fluid cuz im on a maintence kick!
I though the guy at the local shop did it when he did my timming belt and water pump but now I think he just added some to the old fluid.
They tested the fluid and said its OK but can use changing PH level or whatever they test was still good but barely! So go I use the greenstuff that honda sells or is there a brand that would work better.
Also has anyone used or heard of purple ice (by royal purple) additive?
Thinking of adding this when changing the fluid what do u guys think?

Thanks for the info!

BTW I did a search and not many subjects came up on radiator fluid, like when it needs to be changed and what fluid is best to use?

Thanks guys!

I guess the guy did flush out the system when he did my timming belt and water pump but put the wrong stuff in!
Yours is a 2003, maybee they switched from green to blue from 01-03?
Can anyone confirm the coolant that is used in a 2001 , if it is green or blue.

I hope the idiot didnt put the wrong coolant in when he did the water pump and belt, but if he flushed the whole system correctly should not damage the car, was 55 k miles ago so I guess im fine, if something was to go bad it would have happen allready!

I bought coolant at the dealer and it was blue like that. Maybe they put something like prestone in. but OEM fluids FTW!!

my dips on this thread the honda coolant is blue is called honda blue if im not mistaken, i personally used water wetter a bottle from red line , well i started with half a gallon of toyota's coolant which is red, half a gal. you can use the honda blue if you prefer, then the bottle of water wetter. and the rest fill it up with distilled water my car ran like a champ. also first drain your system then fill it up with reg hose water. turn the car back on. rev it a couple of times then drain again do it a couple of times until the liquid comes out clear then finish it off with what i said half gal of toyota red or honda blue , bottle of water wetter and distilled water whatever amt is necessary to fill it up i think about 2 gal

I dunno what you have in your car's cooling system but it sounds like a mess. 3 different brands of coolant?? and usually with OEM coolants, you do not need to add water to it, it comes pre-diluted.

Aznboi toyota red is concentrated so I used distiller water to dilute it, and water wetter is an additive so there isn't three brands of coolant just one, I said Honda blue because it's another brand you can use as a coolant the cheap prestone is prediluted and it's an antifreeze I live in Florida n there is no chance of freezing temperatures

So I checked my antifreeze and it is GREEN all GREEN bright GREEN!
The Idiot that did my timming belt just put what he had laying around the shop in the car and not the BLUE hinda stuff. Thats what I get for saving a few hundred bucks and not having the dealer do it! At least he flushed all the blue stuff out and put all green stuff in and did not mix it!
This weekend if I have time im gonna do a complete fush and use the blue stuff and some purple ice or WATER WETTER

You don't need to flush, most any good coolant will work in our cars.

the multi-vehicle stuff should work fine but if you do plan on flushing it, then please only fill it with honda/acura coolant or only purple ice. dont do honda blue and purple ice and i dont think you will need water wetter.
