To Get Extended Warrenty Or Not?

I JUST HIT 40K ON THE RIDE AND AM WONDERING IF THE 100K WARRENTY IS WORTH THE 1K. I AM PLANNING ON KEEPING THE CAR FOR AT LEAST 100K CUZ I GOT 3 MORE YEARS OF PAYING.
MY CAR TRANNY ALL-READY STARTED TO GO BUT PAA FLUSHED AND IT BEEN RUNNING FINE FOR 5K NOW BUT AM WORRIED IT WILL GO AT LIKE 51K. IF THE TRANNY DID GO AND MY WARRENTY WAS UP , HOW MUCH $$ WOULD A NEW TRANNY GO FOR?

DO U GUYS THINK 1K IS WORTH THE 100K PROTECTION?
REMEMBER I AM NOT RICH AND WORK MY A$$ OFF TO PAY MY BABY AND OUTREAGOUSE INSURANCE PRICES OFF.

THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTIONS..

I think that extended warranty is worth it. A few repair bills and it can easily cost you $1000. By how long will the extended warranty cover your regular warranty?

I'd get it if I were you. I just bought mine... 5yrs/100k, zero deductable. I average 20k a year, so after 5 years, that's 100k. There's no way I was not covering myself. A new tranny w/o a warranty is probably at least $1500-$2k.... so it's worth it just for that piece of mind....

it's amazing to me that you guys actually do or think your going to keep your cars that long. Dump it after 50k, you can get in a brand new one with the same payments

Yeah, but after 4-5 years of doing payments, you end up with a nice decent car that still works really well, looks great, and to top it all off, costs nothing per month, in terms of payments.

Anyways, as for extended warranty, GET IT, I've already fixed about $1000 worth of stuff on my car, and I've only had it for 12 months about... Alternator, pulleys, A/C was leaking...

my point is, make sure you want to keep the car that long. My last ride was a chevy truck, I had 35k on it and the warranty was about the expire, I thought serious about getting the extended warranty because I had no plans of getting rid of the truck, or atleast I thought then. I didn't get the ext warranty, it ended up being a good choice because 1 month later I got a new CLs after drving my friends TLs

is that price of $1000 basically universal for all states or does it vary. is it up tu acura or is it up to the dealers?

I think you can transfer (sell with car) or get a prorated refund on the warranty. So if you don't keep it, it's not a total loss.

This could be the case with Acura, but i doubt it with any other dealership. It should however help the resale and trade in value a little

I'm with you Junior, piece of mind is the key, and it is transferable so go for it.

is it cheaper to get the 100k warranty when your car has less miles?
