So I was leaving The Mexican Restaurant. I came to a traffic light and I needed gas and the gas station was on my right and i was in the left lane. So i thought i'd just punch it a lil bit and get infront of the cars and pull into the gas station.

So I just barely chirp my tires and I pull into the gas station and I see like 4 lights on my gauge on.. I'm like wtf! I see the following lights:


1. The Engine Malfuntion Light
2. The VSA Light Located Beneath the Engine Malfunction Light
3. The Exclamation Point Light for when I take off VSA. But I toggled my VSA button and the light stayed on.
4. The Maintainance Required Light Flashes exactly 10 times when I turn on the car.


So Whats going on guys? Someone told me that my Intake Temp. Over Heated.

But I'm not sure what it is...

Whats going on with thiss crap its still there...I figured the ECU would reset itself when it was cooled down

 

You most likely hade a misfire, or it could have just been the o2 sensor..... Get the ECU scanned, or reset it and see if it happens again... I had it happen to me twice, and just had to reset the ecu.. never happened once i did that.. 6 months in between both of them

 

pull the code and report back...

 

i figured i'd reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery real quick, but that damn thing is on there tough. So I'll report back later this week cause I wont have time to check it out cause of work.

 

I had the all the lights come one like you did just prior to transmission failure on my 5AT. Take it in and get them to pull the codes...

After a reset all my lights went off except the check engine light, which stayed on.

Ahh Not my Tranny! I need to take it to an Acura Dealer...

I'm glad you love the rotors! People was sketchy about the brand but I knew they wre good!

 

yep yep yep. Veeral those are the lights that come on when the tranny is having explosive diarrhea.
Check your tranny fluid too, and see how it looks.

 

I tried to reset the ECU just now by taking off my Battery and Hooking it back up! But it didnt work the lights are still there. I guess i should hang off from driving my car for a bit until I can get it checked out. I'll get it checked out probably Tuesday or Wednesday. Damn I hope my tranny doesnt die!

 

I tookmy car to Baranco Acura today and dropped it off. There were 3 problems.

1. I need a new O2 Sensor.
2. I need a new PCM.
3. I need a new Battery.

Everything is covered under warranty except my battery. They will make me pay for 40% of the battery.

I'm glad my tranny is alright :-D

dont pay for the battery... its gonna be like $80. do yourself a favor and buy another battery.

they gave me the same "deal" when it happened to me.

yea, we'll give it to you for 40% off... when the bill comes, i owe $80 for the same piece of shit battery... only a newer one. save the money and get a die hard or optima or something. it'll last longer than the OEM one.

 

5 year battery for a Honda is right at $100 installed at the dealer. 40% of that is a lot less than 100% of something else......

I'll see the price difference if its not that much I'll get an Optima Battery.
