gas pedal very stiff

alright this is going to bea little hard to explain so i was driving my moms 03' TL and i noticed that the gas pedal on her car was lighter and more giving than mine. it was almost effortless to step on it and her car has a quicker reaction time between the stepping on the gas pedal and the car moving. on my car it is harder to step on and i dont feel like i am getting the right amount of power for how hard i step on the pedal do u guys have any ideas if so what should i do ? thanx

i think you could try to clean TB. and see if your pedal is smooth.

i have the same thing in my car, although power is no issue.
i've just grown accustomed to it; it takes a different kind of expertise to smoothly feather the pedal haha

i've grown use to my gas pedal and it didnt bother me at all until i drove my moms TL and i felt how light hers was and i would prefer an easier, lighter pedal feel than a hevy stiff feel

Yeah, if you clean the throttle body like anthracitecl said, it should help with the stiffness. I have had to do this a couple of times.

What cars are we comparing here? CL-TL, or TL-TL, type S-non S?
Both auto's?

Cause it may be tranny related. If 1 car had the fix & the other didn't?

ok, has your moms had a tranny done? If not, I'd bet that's some of the difference. The pedal may stick from the TB plate being gunked up, but that will not cause the car to not react when you stomp the gas. The only effect that would have is the initial pedal movement. Still check it out though.
