Garage OPener - How do I program it.
As most of you guys know by now I dont have a manual book YET b/c I got my car used and that punk (__I__) didnt leave it in the car i guess. But the garage opener by the rear view mirror, How do I program it b/c I never had a car with that feature. Plus if my garage opener is pretty old will it still work?
Thx.

if it's old, u should b able to do it in a snap
hold the opener remote against the Homelink buttons...press the opener button and the Homelink button u wanna use at the same time and hold both until u see rapid flashing of the Homelink LED...then turn off both buttons and just try the Homelink...that should work
i had a new garage door opener installed just recently, and the manual shows how u have to program the Homelink that way as well since it uses an oscillating frequency unlike the older ones which use 1 frequency

Loving my 08 TLS!
It is a great feature. I have mine set up and it took less than 5 minutes. I don't need to carry that annoying switch with me all the time. I'll see if I scan the instructions and post it tonight.

if it is a newer garage door opener you probably have some kind of "learn" button on it. push that button and then push the button on the CL so that it can learn the sequence. should be just like reprogramming one of the devices shipped with the garage door opener
