G35 Stats, What!

Has anyone seen the stats on the G35 Coupe? Are they for real???!!?

0-60: 5.5
1/4 Mile: 14.2
1/4 Speed: 100

http://www.car-stats.com/

I thought the numbers on the G35 Coupe were nearly the same as the CL. What gives...

That number is from C&D. It is the march or feb issue where the rx8 was in the comparo.

Yeah. I seem to see many discrepancies in times...especially from mags. A better indicator would be the ACTUAL timeslips that people get from stock cars. At freshalloy, someone posted a 14.1 1/4 mile time with a stock g35c. I'd love to see what a stock cls 6speed will do at the track. I'd assume it would be close but the stats will favor the g35c (being lighter w/more hp). I bet the g35c won't have much of an advantage at highway speeds due to rwd being more inefficient than fwd.

I find those #'s very hard to beleive. I've seen Z's run those numbers but not G35's. My logic is: a Z basically has the same engine ( with alittle more hp) and is lighter. The only thing I am unsure of is if the G35's have different gearing??

The best I'v seen a Z go was 13.9X @ a little over 100 mph- and that is at Englishtown raceway in NJ which is a very fast track.

The Z is only 200 lbs lighter with about the same horsepower. Several people have already run 14.2 with the g35 coupe stock so it seems completely believable.

The 2002 Maxima and the CLS can both run around 14.3 stock so it doesn't seem to far fetched.

If I haven't seen it with my own eyes it isn't possible.- JK

Wow- I drove my mom's G35 didn't seem that fast. I guess I was wrong. I assume that high 13's will be possible with the G35 since evreyone says they get significantly faster as the engine breaks in??

I don't know if it will get much faster stock but NISMO is bringing out TONS of mods for the g35coupe (the Z). Imagine a factory supercharger that will be under warranty! Headers won't do much for the VQ but I'm betting the I/E will bring nice gains. I will be in the search for a car soon (after school) so I'm looking now.
