Any one use this yet...I was thinking about painting my calipers, but not sure of the color for an 03' Satin silver CL-s.

Any suggestions?

Black looks best on a silver car. I have mine painted black. I didn't use this kit, I just used standard brake caliper spray paint. Has held up great for 7 months now. A few guys have tried it so I'm sure they will chime in.

Thanks, I was leaning towards black, but red does sound pretty nice too.

I just used this kit this weekend in red (black cls), for 40$ its a pretty good investment. The high gloss finish is quite attractive also. I was actually surprised of how good of quality the paint is. Its real easy to use just mix two things together and paint. It takes about 8 hrs to cure 24hr to really harden. Ill post pics after this weekend if its nice out. Havent posted a pic of my ride yet so.....

I have the kit in Blue, but I haven't used it yet. I think the Blue will look nice on my SSM.

I painted mine glossy black. With the 19" se7en mods, the stock calipers just looked horrible and stuck out like a sore thumb. The black makes the whole thing look cleaner. The light catches the glossy surface too. I'd go black on a silver car. Red is too flashy and you really don't want to draw attention to stock brakes anyway. Just my .02.

I used G2 on two cars before mine. Good quality paint and the glossy-look is nice.

IMHO, go black or some other darker color.

Gold, red, or blue belongs on Brembo, Rotora, StopTech, etc. NOT stock brakes.

G2--RED

Not happy with the flashy red on MY CAR... so i took them off and soaked them in MEK (Methel Ethel Keytone) <---- very nasty shit. Now I am sanding them tonight so I can send them to the Powdercoater for a coat of Gloss Black..

I put G2 Black on my Silverstone Metallic S2000 and it looks awesome. I plan on doing the same on the CL-S this Spring. I'll try to post some pics.

I wouldn't spend $40 on the G2, just go to pep boys or auto zone and buy a can of the spray on caliper paint.....I really don't think there is a huge, noticable difference in the results if you do either one well

I used the same black Rust-Oleum high-temp paint that I used to paint the rear exhaust pipes. Looks great still after a year. It's a satin finish, not glossy, but that's just what I wanted- to make the calipers look inconspicuous.

Anything you spray will cause airborne OVERSPRAY, so if you do not cover your car then expect to clay your car when your done painting your calipers.

that is why the paint on G2 is so nice, no need to cover my whole car to do it...

i painted my mine with the spray can auto caliper paint to start and then went with the G2 kit. the difference was night and day. the crap from autozone only lasted 2 or 3 weeks and then started to fade. the black G2 kit on my anthracite cl-s looks great. well worth the $40. The project takes apox 4hr. But be careful....I did mine when it was 50 degrees outside and I just bearly finished when the paint turned to puddy in the can. you don't want to have 3 calipers done and then have that shit turn to puddy on you. then you would have to order another kit for $40.

You can do a search for G2 aystem online or I ordered mine from the TireRack.com
It took 4 or 5 days to get to me. I think the total with shipping was $50 or something.

Last year a guy on the S2KI forum set up a group buy directly from G2 and they were selling the kits for around $35 shipped. Another option is to get them powdercoated, but it's a lot more $$ and you have to replace the seals b/c they get damaged from the heat. They look great, though.
