G*@ DAMN CHIP in Windshield

Whats the best way to take care of chips in the windshield???....I also noticed alot of little pits in the windshield, almost like the car had been pelted with a bunch of tiny rocks...could this be bad glass quality on my car, I don't see any chips in the paint so I don't understand all of the pits in the glass

Throw a huge rock at it so it shatters, or shoot it at night somewhere.

Then tell insurance some BS.

Theres your new windshield.

If they are small, I called a windshield company and they were able to remove a small chip at like 35 bucks ! Can't even see it or replace the windshield and YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE UP BS ! What the hell do you think insurance is for ?????

I chipped mine within the 1st month and the chip turned into a crack. And the crack turned into 6". All in the span of 3 days. I was able to get the windshield replaced as soon as I called the insurance company. We must share the windshield with the accord because they had one in stock.

Also to keep the chips from spreading you are supposed to put scotch tape over it. That will keep the water out and hopefully last until you get it fixed.

I had a chip in my windshield fix a year ago. Takes about 10 minutes and you will be amazed at the results. I really have to strain to even tell where it was and it was right in my line of sight while driving. Don't stress it...just go down and get it fixed.

Insurance company will definitely pay for your windshild to be repaired because they don't want to pay for it to be replaced. They will tell you that right up front. Getting it replaced would cost you your deductable (at least) but getting it repaired is free.

I had one chip fixed by a windshield company for $50. I also have several little nicks all over the windshield from road debris. The paint on the front of my car is the same way.

I'm starting to realize why the car was only $30k. Bad paint, bad glass, rattles, etc. But I still luv it!
