ZEX?
whats the plan?
only thing I wont do is the pullys... one of the mechanics keeps telling me that removing the resonator will give me some more HP. But I want to dyno my car before and after to verify that. I plan on ordering my 1st question in a couple of weeks. I have a track not to far from here. I'll post my results after I put it in...

no way SiG, saving the best for last.
no, i don't plan on spraying any nitrous. 13's will be obtainable in n/a form. like i said before, my car was getting faster when i ran that 14.32. i think i coulda hit 14.20's with a couple more runs. so the plan to break into the 13's consists of a pair of lightweight wheels w/ drag radials and more weight reduction. the biggest chunk of weight would be the passenger seat, i'm guessing it weighs at least 70 lbs. those 2 things should easily = a 13.99. teh ultimate setup would be to pull both front seats, along w/ the rears, and bolt in a sparco or corbeau racing seat.
so now i just need to pony up the dough for the rims/slicks.
what did you say you were planning on ordering?

Some 55hp kit for those special situations...
I like my interior!!! hehe, but you have a completely different goal than I do. If anyone does know the weight of the CLS seats I'd like to know. I bet the driver seat is heavier than the passenger...

the interior removal would be for race day only. although if i had a pair of sparco's it would be tempting to leave them in. they are badass. then again, cl-s seats are badass, but heavy.

Which model Sparco are u considering.....are they much lighter than our seats? Probably b/c of the motor than makes them go front and back.

bad news for ya.... those seats weigh about 70 lbs together. they really arent that heavy.
you would have to lose the front seat, back seat, spare tire, jack, all the other little crap that is floating around in the car (floormats) all things in the glovebox, system(?)... etc.
a better decision IMO would be to get some nice lighweigt rims.. depending on your price range :
volk CE28-n (light and very nice rims for a regular driving)
volk TE37's (design might be popular but still looks good)
there are countless others that you can get, but im not really farmiliar with what you can get for the second gens
if you really wanted to drop the weight in a hurry just slap a pair of drag slicks on some 15'' accord steelys for race day.
but that's just me, and i own a first gen

this is normal track protocol. and i have a few surprises coming up as far as the "system" goes.

i'm going to have 19's for daily driving, i need a pair of lightweight wheels for the track. will 15" wheels fit on the car? i was looking at sizes for drag radials and it looks like i might have to go 16". any suggestions on super light rims that are relatively inexpensive, anyone?

Mattg,
Congrats and thanks for representing the CL.
I got some info for you.
The front seats are super heavy. I removed them while working on my system. I had to carry them out and in so I know. They are at least 50lbs a piece. The back seat, however, is very light. The back piece is less than 15lbs and those bottom cushions are about 2-3lbs each.
