Well, my freinds had a mini-meet and it was pretty good until the usual arguments started and we settled it the only way we know how.... on the streets.....

From a dig: He (surprisingly) jumped me on the start and then tried to walk w/ VTEC but that nonsense came to an end because he had to upshift while i kept accelerating then we killed it at 70 because of the speed limit and I was already about 5 carlengths ahead of him.
From a 35mph roll: It wasn't pretty, I killed him

From a dig: Jumped about a half a carlength on him and walked about a carlength until I had to hop into 2nd gear (50mph) and he caught up, then i started walking on him again until we hit 75 or so and shut it down.

He didn't want to do a rolling start

THE BLADE!!! vs. '95 Civic DX (I/H/E-fart cannon and a spoiler that makes him go really fast)
And then i kid you not, that kid with his DOHC VTEC 5th gen Civic DX pulls up (He put a DOHC VTEC sticker from a later gen SI on his car and thinks he's really cool with his fart cannon and fugen spoiler) and decides to run against me again because he actually put a real AEM CAI in his car and not the eBay SRI, also new headers I think DC I can't remember too clearly in his babble, so after all of his big talk I simply replied.... it's still a D15 (and everyone laughs at him) so he gets pissed and you know how we handle things.... on the streets....

From a dig: (by some act of god) he jumped a carlength on me and i'm krapping my pants as this has never happend before, but as usual he had to shift to 2nd (i unno 30mphish) while I kept accelerating and then caught him right after I got into 2nd (50mph) and he had to goto 3rd, then I kept walking him until we killed it at 80ish with me about 4 carlengths ahead of him.

As I applauded for not getting completely destroyed for the difference between ebay and real parts are major (I usually jump him on the start and 4 carlengths ahead of him before my shift into 2nd at 50mph), but he still thinks he can keep up on the highway...
With a 60mph roll: it looked like for a second he might keep up but i started walking on him and that walk turned into a jog as he turned into a spec on my mirror as i hit the limiter at 105, seconds later he's roaring past me thinking he's cool because his car can go faster than 105 imho 105 is fast enough, i dont need to be going any faster than that anyways.

i am suprised that the Buick non-supercharged beat the 00 AV6. the AV6 runs faster 1/4 mile times but the 3.8 does have 240TQ.

^ does Htown have a Type-S? I've been looking for a CL-P to race, I think that'll be fun, I think the only reason why I won on against the AV6 was because of the buick's gearing, I dont shift until 50mph while the accord has to make two shifts to get to 60, along with that and the jump on the start which is probably the only reason why I won because I was only about a half carlength ahead of him. Before that race we did a rolling start the Accord just kept walking until 90 ish then I started to catch him but i hit the f'n limiter.

Ahahah you guys are probably wondering why I beat up on 4cyls w/ my 3.8L, wellll people think because it's a Buick they can beat it... the look on their faces when I beat their lil 4cyls are priceless " ". I know my 16 second car isn't fast I know that but I know it's faster than allot of ricers who like to put huge coffee cans on the back of their civics/corollas and I like to beat them and hopefully make them realise their car isn't that cool/badass at all.

 

Ahhh, reminds me of the days in my friends 87 Cougar "Billy". He killed the first two V6s and then threw a 302 V8 in it. By no means was it a fast car but he loved to race people in it. I used to use the fake passenger side brake pedal because I nearly shit my pants everytime I got in the car with him. He used to do this thing where he'd get off the accellerator right before it was about to shift into 2nd and then gas it and it'd chirp the rear tires. Oh, and he also drove around on studded snow tires in the summer time. Good stuff. I love beaters.
