Fuel injectors..specs?

Does anyone know the specs of our fuel injectors? Such as size, is it side feed, and high or low impedience, and maybe something electrical?

It's not side-feed. It's high-impedance (saturated-type). Not too sure on the flow-rate

I know they said this but I definitely question it. 240cc is only able to support 265 crank HP at 80% duty cycle and the stock fuel pressure. In other words, in stock form, we are maxed out. Normally there is some room to play.

Maybe the previous AV6 are 240cc??

Years ago I spoke to someone who stated the J32A2 injectors were about 310cc units. Which makes sense and would give the needed margin most manufacturers would employ.

240cc? You are kidding me!

Scalbert. 440cc is a minimum now... and even though its over the 150% requirement of the E-Manage... that's only for the auto-calculation feature... you can still program the 440cc units

I priced 440cc RC Injectors at $75 a pop (saturated-type).

One more source…
That also says a Civic 1.6L EX has 240cc injectors (albeit 4 of them). The 3.0L NSX had 325cc units while the 3.2 NSX had 275cc Is this how Honda gets LEV status... running the car lean???? I suppose its probably the stock units are 240cc.

thanks guys for all the imput. i was hoping they'd be top-feed and at least 240+cc. if they were, i was planning on buying an extra 6 and swapping into my other car.

What I was meaning and should have specified, they are 310cc units and coupled with 100 PSI fuel pressure are capable of supporting 400+ crank HP.

However, 175 PSI fuel pressure could support that power through 240cc injectors. I doubt the pump/fuel lines/injectors would last long at that pressure.

Thanks Eric...

Wasn't the 97 TL a 210 HP motor?? If so then running 240cc units is fine as it gives nearly a 25% window before being maxed out. Same goes with the AV6 with its 200 HP motor.

The J32A2 motor has a closer output to the NSX than it did the 97 TL or last gen AV6. As such its stock injector selection would be closer to the NSX. Even if it is not 310cc stock, it is certainly close to that.

Actually, for the emissions output peak power potential and associated A/F ratio is irrelevant. At idle or part throttle the duty cycle is so low all while maintaining stoichiometric ratio. You could have 200cc units and maintain proper A/F ratio at low engine loads. They might have gone to smaller units for better atomization at the low engine loads which helped emissions.

In the end we can somewhat determine what we can reasonably go to once we know the stock pulse width at WOT.

I'm waiting on the delivery date for the e-Manage and also on the harness (from FROG) and/or parts availibility. If I do the harness myself all sources are stating a minimum order quantity of 150 units which obviously I don't need that many.

I know I can hack my harness but if I can do it clean, I will wait another week or two. But regardless, I don't expect this to be more then a few weeks away.

Hey, so there are other manufacturers who make injectors for Honda/Acura applications that are cheaper:

Accel - $50'ish
MSD - $47

maybe some more... so it might be slightly more economical!

I had issues concerning my S/C and nobody stands behind their product more than Comptech and I would be shocked if they didnt do everything that they could to help you out.

I have a 01 cl base manzo headers and downpipe, flowmaster catalytic converter though to catbak exhaust, cold air intake . I have taken intake manifold off and cleaned it thoroughly along with throttle body. My ? I have to replace my injectors what's the highest flow rate that I can run without running my car rich

Well you're responding to a post from 2003, so I'm not sure if he'll answer you.

With your setup, the stock injectors are more than enough. You've recently stated you're using a "Gte tuner chip," so the first thing you should do is throw that out.
