Front brakes on CL-S

So I was changing the brake pads/rotors on my car and pretty happy with how smoothly it was going, until I got ready to slide the caliper back on and noticed this. Hmm seems someone at the parts shop grabbed the wrong rotors.

Instead of idly sitting around waiting for them to deliver the right ones, you could properly paint your calipers....!

Lol I'm getting old and don't care enough about the looks. Got the correct rotors and discovered one of my caliper guide pins was frozen inside the bracket. Back to the parts shop for a new bracket, guide pin set and rubber boot set. After that it took me 15min to get it all back together.

You'd think the parts shop would realize that if you were replacing a caliper bracket you will need a guide pin set and boot kit, so add them to the bracket box. If I hadn't thought about it I would have needed to make another trip to the parts shop cause the parts monkey sure didn't suggest them.

Also found that whoever did the brakes last had kinked the brake hose. That would explain why the car pulled to the right under hard braking(one side was doing more than the other) and also would explain the rotors warping(along with the stuck caliper guide pin). One side was doing the braking the other side was sticking.

I just had the same issue. I have the the Brembo kit on the front of my cls and stock rear. But it took them 30 minutes just to figure out what pad goes on my car. And then they ordered me the whole set of brakes for front and rear when I specifically told them I don't need the rears they are stock. And now have the extra rears hahaha
